Chillicothe lost a close a game to a good opponent in Week 1, while Jackson put the ball on the ground about a dozen times against Wellston, but won comfortably. I'm not sure that I learned much of anything about Jackson last night, but I'm pretty certain they'll look like a different football team in Week 2.

The Ironmen and Cavs have traded wins over the last few years when Chillicothe was in the SEOAL, including some very close games once Ron Hinton took over. I would expect a close, physical game this time around as well.

With Coach Hinton in the house last night I'm not sure it was a great look of what his team will see on Friday. Hopefully one of our key players on defense is healthy and ready to go.

must win game for Chillicothe to keep home playoff game alive.....Chillicothe finds its offense and overcomes the 14-0 deficit they will have when they show up. Cavaliers 28-21 over the Ironmen. :12224

If Chilli can go over top they will stay in the game. With that being said. Jackson 35-Chilly 21

Chillicothe will pull out all stops in this game. Having lost their first game and still having to play Teays Valley and Clinton-Massie a loss to Jackson this week will jeopardize any play-off aspirations I would imagine. If they lose this Friday best they could do is 8-2 and playing TV and CM, I imagine a 7-3 would be best if they lose this Friday to Jackson. That is why I think the Chillicothe staff will have their group playing inspired ball this week and look for them to come out of the gate and try and get the Ironmen back on their heels if we come out flat.

Should be a good game between two good HS football teams with some serious points at stake.

I picked Jackson in this game but am nervous about the pick. Jackson had too many turnovers, way too many. Chilly I'd see turning them into points. This isn't "wellston" of the TVC in a mismatch that should NOT be played any longer. It may be that Jackson is over rated and the players expect to win without the effort . If so, this game is ripe for an upset.

Fat boy I have to agree with you on the underlined part of your post above. That mismatch is much like the Lancaster v. Logan annual beat down. Thank goodness Logan was smart enough to get out of that mess and dodge Lancaster. Maybe Wellston should do like Logan did and find a D7 team somewhere to play.

This should be a heck of a game, Jackson dumps the ball on the ground that many times again they won't win this game. If they can hold onto it and play solid football should be a good game. I'll take Jackson in a nail biter by 7

In the last 3 games: Logan Elm 2014 Week 11; DeSales 2014 Week 12; and Wellston 2015 Week1, I think we have had double digit turnovers and double digit recovery of loose balls that didn't result in a turnover.

Logan Elm game was cold and wet and DeSales just plain cold, Wellston was 70 degrees and perfect though, but hopefully we have all that out of our system and out of our head because some of it is mental now I think. I am sure it has been worked on this week in practice...a lot.

Go Red!

Prior to this rash of turnovers, I thought Jackson had been very good about taking care of the football in recent years. That's what is so surprising about the alarming rate at which the Ironmen have been putting the ball on the ground. Definitely have to get that problem solved.

Well back at Alumni Field again. Excited for the game, but disappointed we can't watch the whole band. Hoping for a good game and no heat strokes. Go Red !!!!!!
