Washington CH tops GAHS, 34-13

Gallipolis drops 34-13 battle to Washington Court House
Visiting Gallipolis Gallia Academy dropped a 34-13 non-league decision to host Washington CH Friday evening.
The Blue Lions improved to 1-2 on the year GAHS dropped to 0-3.
Courthouse led 7-0 after one period, 27-0 at halftime and 27-6 going into the final period.
Gallipolis totaled 218 yards from scrimmage while the Lions totaled 335. GAHS picked up 12 first downs to WCH’s 16.Gallipolis ran 53 plays from scrimmage. WCH ran 49.
GAHS quarterback Kole Carter led Gallia’s attack. He rushed 20 times for 93 yards (4.7) and one TD. Carter completed 12 of 29 pass attempts for 105 yards and one TD with one interception.
Three WCH signal callers completed two of five pass attempts for 44 yards and two TDs.
Big Aaron Greer paced the Lions rushing attack with 84 yards in 12 trips (7-0) and one TD.
Collton Campbell led GHS receivers with 39 yards on two receptions and one TD. Kory Proby led WCH receivers with one catch for 29 yards.
Gallipolis was penalized four times for 45 yards. WCH was penalized 12 times for 95 yards.Gallipolis fumbled three times in the rain dominated contest and lost all Three. WCH fumbled twice and lost both.
Gallipolis punted three times for a 44.7 average. WCH punted twice for a 39.5 average
Justin Reynolds led GAHS defenders with five solo tackles and seven assists. Jaden Fetty led WCH.






Gallipolis will return home Friday to host Marietta. WCH will travel to Hillsboro.

I was at this game. didn't rain much during the game. but rained right up until kick-off. but certainly the wet ground I'm sure made it a bit more difficult.
