Re: Week 9: What games are you going to?
I'll be going to Cortland to watch Lakeview (7-1) entertain Warren Champion. Lakeview knocked off unbeaten state ranked #6 Poland 35-30 as the grandson ran wild for 4 TDs, including the game winner. The highlite was a 67 yd run out of the Wildcat formation as he ran up the middle breaking 6 tackles for the TD. He also caught a 2 pt pass, blocked an x-pt kick and batted down Polands 4th down desperation pass to seal the win. Champion lost to Campbell Memorial 36-12.
With the win, Lakeview has at least a piece of the All America Conference White Division title and is in the playoffs. A home game is probable with a win this week.

That's my plan as long as the weather is not acting up.
Both will be undefeated though, I do not see the game being all that close.
Re: Week 9: What games are you going to?
Grandview Hts will be hosting Logan Elm. Hope the Bobcats can continue the play they had against Liberty Union. If the Bobcats can win it will give meaning to game 10 at Columbus Academy.
Re: Week 9: What games are you going to?
Burg\Valley game cant wait til week 10 though and anybody and everybody who is a football fan should come on down to Ed Miller Stadium to watch Burg v\s West Portsmouth week 10 gonna be a dandy of a crowd and the atmosphere at the Ed is second to none in high school football

Burg and Valley won’t be fun. Coal Grove and Fairland is the best local game. I will probably watch it if I get off work early enough.

The Champion-Lakeview game should put the Dogs in the playoffs with home game probable with a win. The grandson was just named the Player of the Week in the two state viewing area , covering Youngstown, Warren , Sharon ,Pa and New Castle, Pa, for WKBN-TV for his 4TD performance in the 35-30 win over previously unbeaten and State ranked #6 Poland.

THU Weirton Madonna (WV) v. Steubenville Catholic Central
FRI Mineral Ridge v. Jackson-Milton
SAT Northgate (PA) v. Summit Academy (PA)
Originally, I was planning Ellwood City Lincoln v. Ellwood City Riverside in PA on Friday, however that game looks like it's going to be one-sided. Didn't want to travel too far on Friday night. Hubbard-Poland might be good, but I can see Poland running away with it. Never been to Mineral Ridge, so I figure a game against the Blue Jays might be a good one. Dons-Crusaders on Thursday is going to be a heck of a game with 6-2/7-0 pairing. Not a lot of option Saturday, and hardly any Saturday night games. So, going down to Pittsburgh for the Northgate game. First time there. Stadium has lights, but they were condemned and they've played elsewhere all year. For Senior Day/Night, they're playing on their home field without the lights. For Saturday night, it's a hockey game instead of football.
