Why did they change it?

I honestly don't know. Maybe one of the schools wanted the extra day for prep?

Alex's only win for the season, sad, but true.

After watching Meigs scrimmage, I won’t say that Alex should be favored, but the Spartans do have a shot to win that game.

Alexander’s community failed another school levy so only 24 kids are on the team and 14 are under classmen. Alexander will be one of the worst teams in Ohio and it’s on the community not the kids

Please explain why not passing a school levy keeps kids from coming out to play football I'm confused.

Pay to play. No paid assistant coaches. Alexander is 6 kids from D4 and could be lucky to have a football team in a couple years

Thank you for clearing that up. Thing's must be really bad over there. I've seen schools that haven't passed levies and maybe the worst that would happen is pay-to-play but it didn't amount to a whole lot.

Yes but I don't think schools of Alexander's size can field both soccer and football and be committed to both. I've witnessed the passion of Alex folks for football. Put your money and your heart behind the program. Or it's just a club sport for the parents.

They have 28 kids. It's hard to build a program with no depth.

Alex look well-coached, hard nosed, disciplined and with a few patches of skill. They swarmed to the ball very well in the scrimmage I watched them play.

The issue for them, unfortunately, does appear to be numbers. Good luck, Spartans.

Looks like the numbers are down all across the board for schools this year. Take away the freshman listed on teams rosters and where would the numbers stand?
