Re: Gallia Week 11?
Right now it’s lined up with fairland. If they both win it will be the same and Gallia will host at home.

Re: Gallia Week 11?
Gallia is a 2 seed, right now. But Indian Valley, I believe is a 3 seed, and will likely get more points from a win than GA will over South Point.
Re: Gallia Week 11?
If they are the 2 seed it will be licking valley fairland or philo.
If they are the 3 seed I am fairly confident it will be unioto

I agree. If they become the 3 seed (which there is a good chance that will happen) they will play unioto,svac83 wrote: Thu Oct 25, 2018 12:59 am If they are the 2 seed it will be licking valley fairland or philo.

This would be the best matchup they could hope for in rd 1 IMO.Beergogglebluez wrote: Wed Oct 24, 2018 9:29 pm Right now it’s lined up with fairland. If they both win it will be the same and Gallia will host at home.

Re: Gallia Week 11?
Gallipolis will most likely be the number 2 seed in the region. Games to watch:
Meigs/Alexander; River Valley/South Gallia; Fairland/Chesapeake; and Coal Grove/Rock Hill.
Indian Valley COULD jump GAHS, but they would need Cochocton (1-8) to beat River View (4-5) AND Buckeye Trail (5-4) to beat East Canton (6-3).
Licking Valley (6-3) will be the number 7 seed - and the Blue Devils' opponent - IF they beat Licking Heights (6-3). Licking Valley is eliminated if they lose to LH.
Fairland would be the #7 seed if they win AND LV loses to LH. The Dragons make the playoffs with a win over Chesapeake.
Philo needs to beat New Lex - then hope that either LV or Fairland lose. The Electrics could get to the #7 spot if both Fairland and LV lose (Fairland would fall to 8).

Re: Gallia Week 11?
If the Blue Devils fall to the #3 seed, the likely opponent is either John Glenn or Unioto.
John Glenn would be the #5 seed if West Muskingum (0-9) beats Monroe Central (1-8). They could also stay at #5 if results don't got Unioto's way.
Unioto needs Vinton County to beat Wellston and probably for Zane Trace to beat Huntington to be assured of the #5 spot.
This is going to be pretty close all around. My gut is that JG will be #5 and Unioto #6, but it will be extremely close.

Re: Gallia Week 11?
So - with all that said, here are the most likely scenarios IMO:
Scenario 1: (Licking Valley beats LH)
1. St. Clairsville - 10-0
2. Gallipolis - 9-1 (A win by RV, would pretty much lock up the #2 spot for GA)
3. Indian Valley - 9-1 (IV would need Coshocton and Buckeye Trail to win to move ahead of GAHS)
4. Bloom-Carroll - 8-2
---
5. John Glenn - 7-3 (MC beats WM)
5. Unioto - 7-3 (VC beats Wellston, Huntington beats ZT) - JG and Unioto need a tiebreaker.
7. Licking Valley - 7-3
8. Fairland - 6-4 (Fairland beats Chesapeake)
9. Philo - 7-3 (Would get to 8 if Fairland loses)
Scenario 2: (LH beats Licking Valley)
1. St. Clairsville - 10-0
2. Gallipolis - 9-1 (A win by RV, would pretty much lock up the #2 spot for GA)

Re: Gallia Week 11?
The REAL question is.......no matter who they play, will Memorial Field be ready and playable for Week 11.
A home game for GA is huge. With Memorial Fields conditions.....huge advantage for them. Just ask the Cincinnati school from a few years back!

Gallia Academy would have 19.75PTS with Meigs, Fairland, Coal Grove and Ironton winning. If RV beats SG then 20.1
If Chesapeake beats Fairland then 19.8 and if RV beats SG then 20.15
Those are the hard numbers. You can see here that Buckeye Trail and Coshocton can lose and Indian Valley can move up to 2. The kicker isn't really with Indian Valley's schedule (with the exception of Manchester) it's whether River Valley beats SG or not.

I think it's more likely that Indian Valley is #2 than GA being number 2. I went to WCH but I'm a Blue Devil by living in the community and my wife teaching for them.

Re: Gallia Week 11?
Claymont has 1 win so a win against claymont as you states counts for both L1 and L2 points. Which can make just enough difference to move IV ahead. But honestly, as a Blue Devil (my wife teaches for them and I helped with the band quite a bit in previous years) I would rather be the #3 seed. the potential 6 seeds match up better and would allow GA a chance at round 2MisterGalliaGuy2016 wrote: Wed Oct 24, 2018 9:50 pm Gallia is a 2 seed, right now. They currently have 35 Level 1 points, 140 Level 2 points.
I'm accounting for wins from Manchester, Sandy Valley and Garaway giving them an additional 13 2nd level points.
Assuming they beat Claymont, they get 5 more 1st level and 4 more 2nd level points.
So their level 1 points sit at 40, level 2 points at 157. The divisor is 100
So I have them at 19.7 with BT or Coschocton winning.

I agree that there may be an advantage to being the three seed - although I think John Glenn would be a tricky draw as well.

Re: Gallia Week 11?
My math has this. Manchester (5PTS), Sandy Valley (3.5PTS), Ridgewood (4PTS), Garaway (4.5PTS), Claymont (4PTS assuming they beat them) which equals 21 L2 points. 140+21 is 161/100*10= 16.1 L2 Pointsloganlocos wrote: Thu Oct 25, 2018 10:56 amI'd be interested in your math on IV.BlueLion4Life wrote: Thu Oct 25, 2018 10:22 am

16.1 (L2) + 4 (L2) = 20.1 PTS
did you forget to add in Ridgewood?
edit - I just realized Ridgewood beat IV. my mistake.
