Re: Week 11 Waverly (9-1) at Indian Hill (8-2)
Taught a lot of those Indian Hill kids, so I’m pulling for them here, but I think it is a pretty good matchup for Waverly. Not great, but their best they could have hoped for if they had to travel.
The Dogmen will be fast, but are also pretty young on defense. I think Waverly will be able to score on them.

It looks like about 90 miles to the school. So that's a good 2 hour bus ride, I think it's a plus to play on Saturday that way the kids don't have to sit in school all day then sit on the bus for 2 hours. Don't know much about Indian Hill other then their record and their opponents. But I will say Waverly has never lost a playoff game to a team from Cincinnati.

Indian Hills in a shootout.

I believe they've only played one playoff game against a team from Cincinnati, unless you consider Hamilton Badin and Germantown Valleyview, both of which Waverly lost to in the playoffs.WHSgrad2000 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 28, 2018 12:12 am It looks like about 90 miles to the school. This has the potential to be a dog fight or in the words of good ole JR Jim Ross a good ole fashion slobber knocker
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog. (D Jay on Hustle & Flow)

It looks like IH is a run heavy team, which Waverly sometimes struggles to defend. Yet they have beat the last few run heavy teams that they have played.
Tiger must come out fast and make few mistakes and they will have a chance on the road.

Waverly beat CAPE - Cincinnati Academy of Physical Education (rated #1 in state) back in 1989. Score was like 34-12. Biggest win in school history in most people's view I'm sure. D.R. Robinson was our QB and went on to play at Ohio University. I believe Chris Crabtree was a wide receiver that year. Hope I got all that right.Doc wrote: ↑Sun Oct 28, 2018 4:16 amI believe they've only played one playoff game against a team from Cincinnati, unless you consider Hamilton Badin and Germantown Valleyview, both of which Waverly lost to in the playoffs.WHSgrad2000 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 28, 2018 12:12 am It looks like about 90 miles to the school. Re: Region 16 #5 Waverly @ #4 Indian Hill
Indian Hill has legit Division 1 talent in their D-Line. They are big and fast.

I was referring to CAPE in 1989. Badin and Valley View are not even inside the I-275 loop so I do not consider them as Cincinnati.Doc wrote: ↑Sun Oct 28, 2018 4:16 amI believe they've only played one playoff game against a team from Cincinnati, unless you consider Hamilton Badin and Germantown Valleyview, both of which Waverly lost to in the playoffs.WHSgrad2000 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 28, 2018 12:12 am It looks like about 90 miles to the school. Re: Region 16 #5 Waverly @ #4 Indian Hill
Not sure what waverly’s expectations were before the year. I read they lost a ton of kids. But we watched them at the jamboree game and there passing game was nice. I think waverly and the fans are very happy with this year. I’m rooting for waverly. Keep up the good work. With a young team they will possibly be even better.

Tigers in a really tough region
Be nice to see them get a win

Re: Region 16 #5 Waverly @ #4 Indian Hill
I think if Waverly is amped up to play they can win, the offensive line will be tested as reading the Indian hill defensive line is good. Should be about who wins the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball for each team
A Kicker of various balls. Trust The Process

First, it’s rooting...not routing. Second, I think the Tigers are going to win this one.
Re: Region 16 #5 Waverly @ #4 Indian Hill
I think Waverly really got a good draw here and I'm going to take them in a shoot out, 35-31
Re: Region 16 #5 Waverly @ #4 Indian Hill
Another # 5 and # 4. Pulling for the Tigers to get that game 11 win.

Good luck to the Waverly Tigers. Offensively they should be able to score points. Tremendous young QB who can make throws all over the field!
Very impressive offense, hopefully they can make some stops on defense.
