I read that the seniors went 57-3 and won 4 state titles. Not a bad run and two of the losses were to Marion

Congrats but lets be realistic they are too small to beat TCC, Beannies, Trotwood, and Hoban in a row

Maybe BUT it would be a close battle!Raider6309 wrote:Congrats but lets be realistic they are too small to beat TCC, Beannies, Trotwood, and Hoban in a row

Exciting game between 2 great programs. While watching it, thought back of fond memories of this year with Burg Baseball playing Canton Central Catholic in the Final 4 in June, and then Burg Football playing Coldwater in the FInal 4 last week.

D-3 I would absolutely agree with you! D-4, I'm not saying they could NOT win it, but I don't think it would be easy. I will say Coldwater going head to head with Bishop Hartley or Steubenville would be interesting matchups that I would love to witness.LHS 72 wrote:Coldwater could win D-3, D-4 without much trouble!

Re: Coldwater 35 Canton CC 18
Not to take anything away from Coldwater as they are a great team and have a nice run of state titles going for them right now. But, after watching the replay of the game since I recorded it if there was replay in high school football two of their first 4 scores would have never occurred and the 4th TD should have been negated by a blatant hold that wasn't called. The 2nd TD of the game for them where the kid laid out in the endzone for the catch you could see the ball hit the ground and come loose as he comes down but the official was about 8 yards behind the play coming down the sideline and was not close enough to see it. Replay showed it clearly. The 3rd TD should have never happened because that ball was definitely intercepted by CCC. He had his hands under it and never lost control of the ball. It was actually a better catch than CW's 2nd TD catch. The 4th TD that put them up 27-3 should have been called back on a hold as after the catch was made, you can clearly see the CW player reach out and grab the arm of a CCC defender as he is making a cut toward the runner. I'm sure CW would have still won the game but instead of being down 27-3 going into the 4th it could have easily only been 7-3 if those calls had went the other way.

Re: Coldwater 35 Canton CC 18
Coldwater played Hartley once last year and twice the year before that, winning all three times by a good margin. Steubenville would be the matchup I would like to see, think it would be a dogfight. That Steubenville offense was so dynamic I think it would be able to compete with Coldwater. Hartley was smart enough to grind down the game to keep that offense off the field as much as possible.Valenth wrote:Stan_Marsh wrote:D-3 I would absolutely agree with you! Steubenville and Coldwater would be a great match up.
Those two should hook up for a home and home.

Would be great games but I don't think Steubenville plays on the road.

I have always said a team who travels to Steubenville, without getting a return game is not very smart.

Re: Coldwater 35 Canton CC 18
Ive posted this before, but when Chillicothe played at steubenville in like 2000, the refs came over and said that we had to have an early coin toss. We are like ok, no big deal. We are starting pregame and all of a sudden their kickoff team takes the field. The refs come over and say we are starting the game. We are in shock and start the game with a delay of game penalty!!
Im not crying because CHILLICOTHE BEAT STEUBY at their home field that year. We overcame a night of serious sick officiating!..
