Warrens been playing all season without stud RB Cole Riffle and that's a huge factor in this contest. Considering Warren struggled to score on Belpre you got to believe they will struggle to score vs Fort Frye.

Fort Frye, after an emotional win, may come out slowly in this one.

A D3 school who has not had a good team since late 90s. Come on, no need to push the D6 vs D3 thing. Everyone knows how bad Warren is. I am not sure why you want to play them except for the gate which I understand is a split this year. You will not get any playoff points playing them, you could have found a better team that might help you down the road. Nelsonville or Athens would be a better matchup for the Fort.

Re: WK4 (0-3) Warren @ (2-1) Fort Frye
I'm thinking it will be closer then people think. All 3 teams Warren has played are better then Fort Frye. Only common opponent is Belpre. That was a scrimmage so it's hard to tell. Belpre played them pretty even. I do think Fort should find success in the run game.
Re: WK4 (0-3) Warren @ (2-1) Fort Frye
From last week's FF thread that went unanswered.
The 2000 team that made the playoffs for the first team had a lot of athletes and a diverse offense. Beat Monroe Central/Woodsfield (who was down) for the first time in about 15 years.
The year before, a blocked PAT kept them out of the playoffs. Lost 2 games to playoff teams (MC, Beallsville). May have had more weapons overall than the following year's playoff team. Probably played a tougher schedule than even the last two playoff squads, but unfortunately didn't win either of the big games. Aside from Waterford last year, I think the two losses were to the best two teams on any schedule of the four teams I mentioned (99, 00, 15, 16).
The 84 team was pretty good; I think they lost their last two games after an 8-0 start. One was to Caldwell, who was a top local program at the time (under Mike DeVol). I think the 93(?) team only lost once but didn't get to play one of the Monroe County schools because of the strike up there.
I didn't see them, but I've heard and read the old clippings about the 10-0 1974 squad. Of course playoffs were much different back then with only three classes and I believe 1 (maybe 2) teams selected per region so they weren't close to the playoffs. Red Hill, who did well at both FF and Warren was the coach.

The 2012 Playoff Team is very underrated the Chan Lang/Spencer Lang combo was deadly.
I think last years squad would of beat 00 in a good game. I ofcourse can not speak on anything before 00.
In my opinion last years squad was the best since I've been watching but the previous playoff teams 12,13, and 15 helped build the culture to make last year possible.
Coach Huck is amazing 10-0 vs Waterford and has built this program from the bottom up. If some in mid 2000s would of told you in 10 years Fort Frye would be a perennial playoff team you would of told them that they lost their mind. Fort Frye has mad it 4 of 5 seasons with the one year they didn't make it a 7-3 season. I actually think with the way it lays out they could make it this year. Pastuer has them as 90 % chance of making it.

NY plays a league game week 4 so that's a no go...
However, their may be a possibility of these 2 teams meeting week 2 soon. Just have to wait and see how it works out.
