Frye has improved dramatically over the last few years with playoff berths and scored more on state juggernaut Kirtland in the state semis last year than anybody all year and are on a big roll again this year. Coach Huck and staff are to be commended for what they've been able to accomplish in a village of what, 1,400 people ?

Gallia is as good of a coached team as I have seen this year. Penrod has built a great staff and they have great coaches on each side of the ball on the varsity staff with multiple coaches with a lot of experience and even head coaching experience. Huge fan of their staff.

Paint Valley- Pete Holton is one of the best football coaches in the area. The man surrounds himself with great football minds and what he has done at Paint Valley is impressive.

Wheelersburg- Rob Woodard is a well oiled machine surrounds himself with great coaches and puts the program in position to win regularly huge fan of what he has built at burg.

Would also go with Rob Woodward and his staff at Burg, and it not even close imo. Next, I'd go with Andy Hall and the job he has done at Jackson. Also impressed by teams Darren Crabtree and his staff have consistently put out at Valley over the years.*

Obviously rusty is the best coach in the area. The bad part is he is handcuffed this year because I was told OU coaches cut his offense down considerably so that they can protect their future star slot receiver. If it wasn’t for that Bucks would be undefeated right now.

Burg has a great staff, Jackson, Ironton and Gallia but I’m going a different route. I think Bruce kalb at Portsmouth has done a phenomenal job. Trojans went years under 500. 1st year a playoff berth after 11 years. Possibly back to back with a win Friday at Fairland. He’s 17-5 in 2 years including playoffs. He really works with the kids and there buying in to his program.

The addition of Brady Trace a few years back and Jacob koons when he finished at OU were great pickups too. Tomcat alumni who both play college ball. Them two run the defense
