Regular season or Playoffs?

I heard that when you are done playing your six games you have the option to.. A.) Finish out the season with playing four games to complete the ten game season and NO playoffs. Or B.) After playing the sixth game you can go into the playoffs, and not get guaranteed a ten game season and if you lose first round your season is done. and you cannot finish the ten game season. Does anyone know what the plan is after the sixth game is played?

A team that loses in the playoffs can still play regular season games until like mid November. Also, I believe that they have to say they are entering the playoffs before the sixth week. Sometime pretty soon actually.

I think they should do the (A) and (B) scenario. Regular season or playoffs.

Must announce on or before the 18th in or out of playoffs
Coaches will then vote on the 25th for seeding in their Region
