Lots of skilled players returning for the Ironmen. With winters having Tommy Jon surgery he may be out of any meaningful competition until August at some point. The biggest concern will be the offensive line. Need some players to step up and maybe some players needing to step in a excel at a role that’s asked out of them. Lots n lots of work to do in that area and trust that the coaching staff will see to it. The weight program is up and running strong. And as we all know around the Iron-City it’s a must to put the work and extra work in there to find your way onto the gridiron and under the lights of Friday night on the hill. The schedule the Ironmen face this year is a true test and hats off to the program for going out and getting in these types of games. Lots of state champs snd state runner-ups headed the Ironmens way. This team has the potential of being really good and the work they put in will determine just how successful the boys can be. Get to work boys snd when you think you have put in enough. Dig down deep find something extra snd put some work in!!!

Go Red!!!!

Why did the Athens and Jackson game get cancelled ?

These two should play every year . Makes zero sense .

Is the season opener going to be televised? I've heard the Jackson/Logan game will be on Thursday night.

Locos I hope that when society does return to a “normal” way of life snd fans are again permitted to attend , schools will not do away with the televised or streamed games. I hope the televised events that started from the covid era is something that sticks around. Any word from Hocking county if they plan to continue to stream events ??? I have not heard anything about it around the Iron-City.....

I guess I mean a "Thursday Night Lights" type deal. Logan and Chillicothe played on a Thursday in 2019 and it was broadcast live in Columbus.

I have not heard about Logan's plans for future livestreaming but agree its a great option. Could be added revenue for schools. I'll see what I can find out.

Tell your Jackson and VC county people to let them in. They always vote no. Doesn’t help Fort Frye has been the best football program in SEO the last few years

Not sure on the so called televised event for a Thursday night game being shown. Spectrum does an awfully good job at showing the state championships and weekly showcase games. Maybe worth a jingle to them to see if they would be interested in covering a game such as this on a Thursday night from the Jackson/Logan AD or someone in that position. Being a Thursday night game and opening weekend of high school football it may have a chance of getting at least discussed by those that could make this happen. We have discussed on here before that a trophy such as “Iron-Chief” bowl , trophy or games MVP should be recognized. I think that is a GREAT idea. Too storied of a tradition rich rivalry , programs , the old SEOAL kings, to just let this be just an ordinary game. It may not be in the eyes of everyone but there’s ALOT of people from both sides that view this game way more than just a game. Hopefully getting the ball rolling now will help set this up for August.

I totally agree with your thoughts of extra revenue for schools to charge to view a live stream of future games. Not only for the money but what a great way for folks to stay connected to their hometowns, schools and programs that we grew so fond of to stay connected and involved. I do hope the streams stay after the covid era and we have something positive snd good that came from such a trying time.

Instead of two “hopefuls” of TVC members in Gallia and Marrietta...why not Fort Frye and Logan as “hopefuls” to the TVC..????
