Coal Grove’s 2021 competitive balance number of 14 is a pretty big number.

Ironton - 24, Wheelersburg - 20, Coal Grove - 14

Doesn’t appear that Coach Lucas is at as big of disadvantage as he would like everyone to believe.

Question, the two ineligible players at Ironton. Will they be counted as +2 since they have not been ruled eligible as Ironton player living in Ironton district?

They will always have a high cb. A lot of families live close to burg schools but not in the district. There are many Families that have burg addresses but live in South webster, green, and minford districts but are closer to burg schools. Parents will just drive them in rather than going on a bus.

Oh that’s different. They live outside the district close to burg schools lol. Almost like coal grove to ironton, rock hill to ironton. Shoot Ashland is probably closer but it’s across the bridge

So they should be going to green , Webster, or minford ?

Congrats on being a district that doesn’t allow open enrollment.

Thanks. I’m not a big fan of open enrollment but it is what it is

Technically yes. But there are places near burg where burg schools are closer to the school that’s in district, places like hunters point, places out on 522, lick run Lyra, highland bend area. Enrollment has increased because all burg schools are now located in one spot k-12. Parents can drop off multiple kids at school. Burg is a solid school so I expect the numbers to always be high on the CB due to it. It wasn’t like that in the 80s 90s. Kids had to ride the bus. But that’s taboo now.

Ironton fans use it as their counter argument to their recent surge in transfers. Comparing them to be the same. But Ashland, Huntington, Lucasville, Northwest, and Mississippi are not near locations. They are miles and miles beyond comparison but you will never convince them of it. I’ve tried.

Please don't engage with woby on this topic. He won't budge. I've tried. Talking to him or yabba about this is no different than talking to a brick wall.
