Ironton 2024 DB Josh Johnson

Post by Bfan99 »

6’3 185lbs lock down CB this year that didn’t give up a TD
Earned 3 D1 offers today and will more than likely have one from Penn State Saturday after his visit.

Kid is a DAWG!! Can't wait to see how his role evolves at Ironton next season.

Seriously, how does IHS have this many college D1 athletes and not just dominate Ohio D5 football?

Line of scrimmage, lack of cohesion, lack of discipline, very young. Not excuses, just the way it is. Hopefully they can improve on some of these issues before these sophomores and juniors Are gone. All that being said Johnson has been truly impressive this year. No surprise he’s garnering a lot of interest. Hard to find kids with that kind of length and quickness.

Typically players like that are hard to find around Lawrence county or even the tri-state. That kind of talent is all around the country though.

“All around the country” in big schools. IHS numbers are similar to what the Cincy GCL south schools produce.

How about instead of the negativity towards what Ironton doesn't accomplish as a team on the field, we congratulate this young man for getting these offers.

Good luck Josh! Hope you enjoy the rest of your school year and do well at whatever university you may choose!

He got an offer - (it’s not a visit, it’s an offer = 2 different things)
