Wk 1: Circleville @ Warren

Post by Bucknuts88 »

Let's get the topic started. Warren returns a lot of key pieces from a team that went 4-6 last season. Circleville coming off a 1-9 season. Thoughts?

Unless a lot has changed at Circleville I’d expect Warren here

I’d say Warren by 2+ scores. Could see them lining up and just hammering the run to set a tone.

Any way you cut it, this is better than opening with Belpre. Players should get some legitimate work in and not go into Week 2 flat like the last two years.

I echo you on that one!

Not a lot of excitement about this game, but I like it as a home opener. Ending the belpre series was the right move.

If they get competitive again - which I hope they do - then I think Warren would be receptive to starting it up again. Otherwise, it’s a waste of time for both teams. It’s a shame, but it’s the truth.

Warren may be the early favorites based on their returning experience, but Circleville could certainly pull off an upset if they've used the offseason wisely and come out firing on all cylinders. It should make for an exciting start to the season!

Always rooting for our neighbors out route 339. Warriors by 14 plus.

Good luck and good health to both teams.

Circleville was a mess last year. Unless they hit the transfer portal hard, I’ll take Warren by 2-3 TDs.

Cant wait to kick this season off tonight. Nothing like the atmosphere in Barlow-Vincent on Friday nights in the fall. Should be a big crowd. Praying for a safe game and good health from both teams.

Picking Warren by 2 tuddies

Picking Warren in this one. Very bullish on the Warriors this year, lots of talent. Circleville apparently thinks this is their year...I think they have their hands full tonight.

I believe they did pick up a handful of transfers. Don’t think it’s the same Circleville team from what I am hearing but may be wrong. Guess we will see in a few hours.

1:56 left in the 1st. Circleville out to a 14-0 lead. Warren getting absolutely manhandled up front. Circvleville controlled the football almost the entire 1st quarter.

Congrats to Nick Cressey who has broken to warren school record with his 12th career interception. Gives Warren the ball at the Circleville 24

Warren has done it through the air. 3 TD passes for Sealey
