This series has been dominated by Logan Elm over the years, but in the past 5 years this game has been tight.
Backyard brawl in Kinnikinnick.
ZT coming off an 8-4 season while Logan Elm was 9-2 last fall.

Re: Week 1 Logan Elm at Zane Trace
I thought LE lost a lot of talent, and with ZT coaching going into year 2 and being able to build his program for the off-season workouts let's go with ZT in this one but probably be another close one.
Re: Week 1 Logan Elm at Zane Trace
I know Logan Elm has their QB back. I believe they lost most of his receivers though. Zane Trace should be OK this year as long as they don't have injuries. The ZT depth is not good. The Pioneers did lose some key players from a year ago, but return a pretty decent core. They really have not moved to ball on offense in their two scrimmages, but scored three TD's on big plays.

Should be another close border battle. LE’s QB is explosive and legit but I really like ZT this year if they can mange to stay healthy. They had some serious injuries issues last year and don’t have quite the depth as last year. They have the players to challenge for the SVC if healthy.

Logan Elm 33
Zane Trace 27
Final
Zane Trace lost their QB early in the game. They went to a wildcat offense and did not do too much for the first three quarters. ZT's only score was a Pick 6. Logan Elm pretty much did whatever on offense and led 27-6. The Pioneers began to wear down Logan Elm in the fourth quarter and cut the lead to 27-20. The Braves answered with a big drive with about six minutes left to make it 33-20. A 50 yard bomb was the key in that drive. The Pioneers were able to tack on another score with about two minutes left, then LE ran out the clock.
