Week 4: Warren @ Cambridge

Post by beg003 »

Cambridge looks to be struggling again this year. I think the Warriors roll in this game. Warren - 42 Cambridge - 14.

Warren needs to blow out these bad teams.

This week for sure should be a running clock. I wouldn’t call Morgan a “bad” team. Are they great? No. But they aren’t what I’d call outright bad. Logan isn’t great but they’re not easy to blow out because they do play pretty good defense, especially against the run. But I do agree with your point in general.

Keep the Bobcat QB in the box and they will not score. Warren enjoys a running clock this week.

I expect Warren to handle this one.

I’ve watch Morgan. Fort scored on 4 out of 5 drives. Fort would beat Morgan by 20 plus.

I’ll give you that, but a Jamboree game vs a regular season game are two different things. Again, I don’t disagree with you, but getting Ws is really all that matters at the end of the day. Whether it’s by 3 points or a running clock, it doesn’t really matter.

Playoff points aren't impacted by margin of victory. Sure it would be nice to win "pretty" but the main thing is keep winning and keep improving. I'll take 7 gritty "ugly" wins.

They were soft. I’m not sure they win a game in the MVL.

And the point is..? It’s a week 2 game where things are getting ironed out. Nobody should be peaking then. A win is a win is a win.

I’d really like it they were beating teams by 20+ every week, trust me. They have a knack for making games closer than they should be.

Rooting for the Warriors.

Good luck and good health to both teams.

Warren was only up 17-7 at one point in the 2Q and then the wheels came off for Cambridge. It went to 33-7 at halftime really quick. The physicality difference between the teams was painfully obvious. Hopefully Cambridge can get it back on track.

The referees were absolutely horrible tonight for both sides. Anyone there no matter which sideline you were on would agree.

Defensive line play was outstanding last night. Moved some kids around to get the best 11 pure football players out there and it paid off. Strahler and Legleitner at a stand up DE position with Landon Summers at nose was extremely disruptive. Makes this defense faster and just as physical. Also allowed Carr to move down into the box. His hit on the QB in the first half knocked the QB out of the game. ILB Owen Thompson is on pace for 100+ tackles. Strahler, Legleitner, and Nehemiah Reeder are not far behind him.

Should be getting starting RT Owen Bookman back in some capacity this week hopefully. The run game has been solid, but he is a great run blocker. He’ll be a huge help in that department when he gets back.

Warren is going to need 7 wins to even have a chance at the playoffs. The teams they are beating just are not giving them any points. Fort and Athens games huge for playoff points.

Logan only lost 54-0 last night and Morgan only lost 65-0. Cambridge is on track to go 0-10 and Circleville even got smashed last night. They might need 8 wins at this point. But hey, a win is a win!!
