I have a feeling that the long nightmare of a season for the Blue Devils continues on this weekend when they face the Rock Hill Redmen.

The nightmare of a season continues for Gallia and it's looking more and more like a really terrible decision to stick with Ironton on the schedule as well. Gallia's only shot at not going 0-10 will be week 10.

Rock Hill names the score. Gallia is seeing the fruits of their labor of continuing to run off good coaches

Not much else to say. Rock Hill will win. Probably by a bunch. Anyone going to the game, drive safely there and back. Hopefully nobody gets injured.

It's definitely NOT a coaching problem . Last year we finished the season with very low numbers, i believe around 25... We lost around 12 seniors who had been starters most of there high school career . We don't have great numbers now plus we have had a lot of injuries . No experience, no size, and low numbers and no coach could overcome that. Plus we have a first year coach with no experience. Lets give him a couple years be we run him off.. and my last sentence is filled with sarcasm....lol

Rock Hill eying an 8-2 or 9-1 season this year knowing the loss to Fairland has already happened. Have to come out build off the Belpre beat down and put it on Gallia.

Rockhill by a lot. Hoping Gallia can get back to what they used to be. It’s crazy how they are the largest school in the ovc and still have low numbers.

Gallia needs to get Ironton off the schedule as soon as possible. Look to replace with maybe a Wellston or River Valley or NY. No reason for OVC teams to be playing Ironton right now.

Agree, but not River Valley.

Agree, but not River Valley.
Why not re-up the Community Bowl? Less travel time. Good gate. Gallia would thump RV most years, including this historically bad one. You keep Point and Meigs and boom. 3 great gate games, at least one of which will almost always be a challenge (Point) and another of them won't turn into a massive snooze fest (Meigs)

Then that leaves room for a matchup with another TVC-O school like Athens or NY (always a good matchup with good fans) or SOC-II like an Oak Hill or P. West.

Don't know why GAHS would keep Ironton on the schedule. RARELY ever get a win. Don't see the upside for GAHS. Most years Ironton wins alot of 2nd level points. DROP THEM.

78, what school would you want to replace Ironton on the schedule? Logan? Warren? Marietta? Chilli?

At least for next year, I'm pretty sure that Gallia Academy and Jackson are scheduled to play each other. As far as I'm concerned, they should be playing each other every year.

Game is going to be a lot closer than predicted. Both teams got whooped by Fairland, similar scores. Additionally, Rock Hill might have the weakest schedule in the SEO, no hate. Opponents are combined 6-24. Gallia has played a much stronger schedule, last 4- 6-0 Athens, 5-1 Portsmouth, 6-0 Fairland, 4-2 Coal Grove. I think this game could go either way.

Rock Hill is going to finish the season as the worst 8-2 team in history.

Pretty sure this is an ownership issue. From the leadership to the coaches and parents they forgot about the kids being the number one priority. This isn’t the same program that this community has had in the last 30 years. Complete disregard to what the players need, and that is better from all stakeholders.
