Week 8: Vinton County 2-5 (2-1) @ River Valley 0-7 (0-4)

Post by Dundas »

River Valley hosts Vinton County this Friday as the Raiders celebrate their 11 seniors this season. RV is on a 17 game losing streak and looking to end that this Friday against the Vikings. VC holds a 7-3 advantage in the series that started in 2014 when River Valley joined the TVC. The Raiders won the first 3 games and VC has won the last 7. VC is still alive for a playoff spot in D4 region 15 but must pick up a win this Friday to keep that dream alive. The Vikings are also looking to stay alive in the TVC Ohio race this year as they have 3 league games left in conference. Athens and NY are undefeated in conference play and will meet in week 10. If VC can win out and NY takes down the bulldogs, VC still has a chance to repeat as co champions this year. A lot of things have to fall in place for VC to claim back to back titles but hope is still alive. For now.

VC takes this one by a landside. RV is so down it's unbelievable.

The Vikings should be able to come away with a win over the Raiders this coming weekend.
