Looks like Marietta has a 91 % chance to make it if they win. Warren is at 28 % if they win.

The old saying applies here more than ever. He who controls the line of scrimmage and wins turnover battle is likely to take this game.

Going off recent scores does zero good for this game. Will probably be within a touchdown either way. Don’t expect either team to blow the other out, barring a turnover fest.
Pepper’s availability is super important. He barely played last night.

Crazy that Marietta just clinched their first winning season since 2002
Good for both teams to have the seasons that they’ve had to make this an important game for more than just bragging rights.
Knowing little about either team, I’ll take the home team.

The Warriors will be coming into this game with a lot of confidence after the big win over FF. Being that they will also have the home field advantage, I will take the Warriors for the win over the Tigers.

You can click on each team using this site, its a good one. Go to D 3 Region 11. - https://www.fantastic50.net/Bucknuts88 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2024 8:56 am Is anybody here well-versed enough on they playoff scenarios for either team if they win? This site has projected points from which you can kind of decipher scenarios. I linked to Region 11 for you, but you can drill down to Warren by clicking their link.Bucknuts88 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2024 8:56 am Is anybody here well-versed enough on they playoff scenarios for either team if they win? You obviously need your teams beaten opponents to win and then any team projected ahead to have some of their beaten opponents lose (maybe some upsets). For example, to bump Sheridan out of the project 16 spot, it would help to have Crooksville & Coshocton win in their matchups.

The run game gave him a break they didn’t have to use him . I’m sure he will be in line for a big game !!
Re: Wk 10: Marietta (6-3) @ Warren (6-3)
Some stats through 9 weeks:
Jacob Sealey: 90/150, 1588 yds, 16 TD, 8 INT
Eric Carr: 101 att, 559 yds, 5 TD, 2 KOR TD
Landon Fairbanks: 103 att, 435 yds, 7 TD
Tanner Pepper: 45 rec, 708 yds, 6 TD
Nick Cressey: 20 rec, 556 yds, 7 TD
Owen Thompson: 118 tackles, 5 sacks, 20.0 TFL
Aden Strahler: 66 tackles, 4 sacks, 9.0 TFL, 2 INT
Tanner Pepper: 55 tackles, 1 INT, 3.0 TFL
On offense, Pepper recently went over 2,000 receiving yards for his career. Barring an injury, he’ll very likely become the all time leading receiver fairly early next season in terms of yards, career catches and TDs. Through 29 career games, he’s at 143 rec, 2117 yds, and 17 TDs. The record for those categories now are 174 rec, 2565 yds, and 23 TDs. He’s more than capable of getting to 3,000 receiving yards.
Also, Owen Thompson has made a very strong case for TSL defensive player of the year. He was an absolute game wrecker against FF. The only other player I could think of in the discussion would be Kobe Alexander. Thompson has been the centerpiece of a defense that has 17 takeaways through 9 games. He’s having a monster senior season.

It's been a while since the stakes have been this high for this rivalry game. Almost a de facto playoff game. Not quite win and your in, but a must win to keep the hopes alive.
Marietta doesn't throw the ball so it will come down to Warren being able to stop the run.
I pick Warren to win a close one

Re: Wk 10: Marietta (6-3) @ Warren (6-3)
First off awesome to see Marietta and Warren playing a meaningful football game in late October.
Kudos to Coach Schob and Coach Peyton for securing both of their first winning seasons at the helm at MHS and WHS.
This game is fairly simple, ground and pound both teams have the same identity.
I believe Marietta may hold a small advantage on the defensive line but Warren holds the advantage in just pure athleticism and @ the QB position. If Warren can complete some passes down field I believe the warriors win the football game.
Warriors -4.5
27-19

I will go with Marietta on this one. Fort Frye line struggled against Warren, but I believe Marietta won’t have any trouble. They aren’t as quick as Fort Frye but much stronger and bigger.
