Re: Where will Lebron Play Next Year
It now looks like Amare is signing with the Knicks.
Who else do you think is going to follow?
Will it be wade or lebron...or could even Bosh follow...
a week ago i might of thought Joe Johnson Atlanta already put themselves in a bind for 6 years... this guy will be done putting up good #'s in 3... way to ensure you suck in 4 years atlanta great job.. I'm suprised the Hawks arent trying to sign Vick as a PG...

Im not arguing that Joe Johnson is a good player. Hes not great Like Wade James Kobe Carmelo Durant Dwight.
I dont even think he is the best player on his team and he really doesnt warrant a Max Contract. I think he will have 3 more good seasons and then really start to fall off. And when hes getting paid those last 3 years they will have a very average player making franchise player money and won't be able to sign or get anyone to help the team be successful.

One man pounding the ball and four people standing around. The Cavs tried to run it against the Celtics in the playoffs and they ran it into the off season. I think the problem was coaching.
Quick to say I'm wrong about Joe Johnson but yet you pretty much say exactly what i said on another forum.
But if you are referring to Joe Johnson not being the best player on the team i think you have forgotten Josh Smith.
I watched the Hawks Nuggets game when i was in colorado on Pre-Deployment leave and i was not impressed with Joe.
I was impressed with J.R. Smith though. He put up 44 points(not sure if its exact) but his shooting was beautiful. He played with great intensity and saddened me to think that he could be nearly as good everynight if he just cared more about the game.

A few random thoughts from someone who watches every game, listens to ESPN radio 24/7 and stays on NBA message boards (AKA I have no life). It is starting to look like LeBron is coming back. I don't think he wants to play with Stoudamire in New York. The Suns have been trying to get rid of him for 2 years and nobody would give them anything for him, he's too big a risk. I look for the Cavs to sign a mid level center like Brendan Haywood or Brad Miller and bring Illgauskus in as a backup/role player. I think Jamison could be on the trading block along with Delonte West, I see JJ Hickson as the PF of the future and Mo Williams although he sputtered in the postseason is the perfect compliment to James, a PG who doesn't need the ball. All that said, our biggest need is a big guard to take the pressure off James defensively and to handle some of the scoring load. Our ideal lineup would be a bulky, defensive minded center, a la Kendrick Perkins, JJ Hickson (a finisher above the rim), Lebron, Mo Williams and the afforementioned wing ( I have no clue who we're looking at, I had heard Maggete and Rudy Gay).

God, I will be glad when this is over.
ESPN is running this into the ground. It is as if the safety of the free world hinges on this announcement.

I COULDN'T AGREE MORE HE IS AN AWESOME ATHLETIC NO QUESTION, BUT HIS ACTIONS ON WHERE HE IS GOING OR STAYING, IS JUST NUTS. I AM STARTING TO DISLIKE HIM ALREADY. MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO WORRY ABOUT HIM AND HIS EGO. THE NBA WILL BE GOING ON STRIKE NEXT YEAR IT SEEMS ANY WAY.

Re: Where will Lebron Play Next Year
LeBron is like A Rod in baseball. Who puts up big numbers and does not come thur in the playoffs. A Rod was put on a All Star Yankees team and has only won one World Series. LeBron does not show up in a majority of big games. If he goes to Miami and they do not win they will have to blame someone else. Also the 3 way friendship may not be as friendly if they do not win. It was not long ago that many people was wondering if Wade would be able to come back from an injury. Bosh is good but can he be good on a good team for a long period of time. If one of these players go down with an injury the amount of money left for the other players would be hard for them to win a championship.
By making this an hour show if he leaves Cleveland then those fans would have watched him for an hour only to have him kick them as he leaves. Lebron is making sure that people understand that there may not be an I in team but there is a backwards me. He wants people to see "ME". LeBron may end up making many people non fans and against him at all games.

26 minutes left until it comes on ESPN. I think it would be a dumb choice if he stays at Cleveland and they are not getting anyone to go with him to help him increase the odds of winning a ring there but I dont see a chance of them ever getting a ring there jmo.

Let's see. What shall Clevelanders call this one?
The Betrayal?
The Betrayal?

I got an idea! Two downtown arenas with underachieving teams who have disappointed their fans. How about Columbus and Cleveland do a swap deal. The Bluejackets can go to Cleveland and get a fresh start and the Cavs come to Columbus and do the same. The arena districts of both will still have plenty of business for the downtown and there might be renewed interest in both cities.

Nope. The Betrayal was when Modell took the Browns to Baltimore.
The Drive, The Fumble, The Shot, The Betrayal and now The End of basketball in Cleveland.

Re: Where will Lebron Play Next Year
Cav fans should at leat be happy that LBJ put them back on the map and took them to thier only final appearence. That does open alot of cap room for the Cavs to make some move, don't think star play if left but ya now have cap space . See there is always the positive in everything.
BTW did anyone else the the reaction on ESPN when it showed the fans in Cleveland when Lebron said he was going to Miami. I thought i was pretty funny.
Also, Colin Coherd made a pretty good point on his radio show earlyer today saying that, the one team that benefits the most in all of these free agency singings is the LA Lakers, cause the West just got alittle easyer. With Utah and the Suns losing one of there best players.
