Brandon Jacobs throws helmet into the stands

Post by farmer »

After being taken out during the 3rd quarter Brandon Jacobs gets mad and throws his helmet toward the bench but he says it slipped out of his hand then ends up about 10 rows up. Then the fan did not want to give it back as Jacobs turned his frustration toward the fans by yelling at them. They did get the helmet back but after Jacobs had a talking to from his coach. I would not be surprised if he does not play again for the rest of the game. He may get suspended by the NFL also.

lets hope so that could have seriously hurt, or even killed someone. had it went 10 rows up. it had to have had some velocity behind it.

Jacobs did not go back into the game. To be upset during a game is one thing but to throw your helmet is stupid. Your helmet is there to protect your head. Even with all the concussions others are going thur. Some players just do not care if they are not getting their way. Jacobs is no longer the starter and not playing well. He was very lucky that one person or more than one didn't get hurt with the helmet throwing. The NFL will probably come down hard on him for more than 1 game suspension. He may also be on his way out of the Giants.

Looks like he wants to be traded but what do you offer for a guy that has shown what he is capable of when things aren't going his way? How bad do you need a RB and is he to blame for his current situation OR could he have a legitimate gripe? One gambler comes to mind...OAKLAND.....and one more desperate one...NEW ENGLAND....

Jacobs got his helmet back.
During their Super Bowl Season they were close to get rid of the head coach. They were able to pull things together. They had a lot of breaks go their way. They are back to there again. Coach Cough will be gone by the 10th game.

Sometimes the "Tough Guys" wear out their, well not welcome, but their effectiveness. It starts to go in one ear and out the other. Even the best coaches run out the string with a team eventually. He'll re-surface with some team that needs a kick in the butt. Dallas?
