Yes,Ben was hurt....He's played a half a season on a broken foot played in a game with a broken nose.Last year he played games on one leg.So when he goes out he's hurt....Unlike some other players in the NFL.

With the Ravens coming up twice in the next few games it would be best for Ben to be healed more. Just as he is not the same as in the past. Being he will be a dad soon. He has permission to miss a game if needed. He would not want to be hurting to much to pick up his child. Besides getting some rest for the arm and ribs will only help in the long run. Especially with the way QB's went down around the NFL on Sunday.

Even for Big Ben, when you talk about an injury where a hit could cause your Aorta to rupture, that is nothing to sneeze at. Big trouble for Steelers. Maybe they should shut him down for the season (maybe even Troy), take the short-term hit, get some draft picks and come back next year. Steelers window is closing. They have another three years to win a Super Bowl.

The only thing I hate about Leftwich is how long it takes him to throw the dang ball, with that said Byron should be an acceptable replacement. I guess we will see what he is made of Sunday night. Hope Ben and the Organization let him heal up, I'd rather have him for a few more years rather than just a few more games.

I thought they said 3 weeks, & that he might possibly be back for the game in Baltimore?

Anyways, last night was a tough loss. I'm not to sure why they didn't put in Batch when it was clear the pain Byron was going through caused his throwing power to fall immensely. I feel that if Ben were playing we could have possibly blown the Ravens out. Defense played spectacular though. Gotta play hard against the Browns and get a win. Then to Baltimore!

Yeah but the Steelers are Winners even when they lose....Why? Because the have maybe the best ran franchise in sports. The bengals on the other hand only win enough to give their few fans false hope..

Steeler's better hope Bergerman gets back quick! I also think they win that game easy if he plays, Leftwich did have some moments although he should have come out if he was in that much pain.

The Bengals as a franchise seem to be doing a lot better. Even though I think Marvin needs to go. But franchise to franchise does not matter at the end of the season when it is the record that matters and who is in and out of the playoffs. Right now the Bengals are starting to play better to make a run to the playoffs. Where the Steelers QB position is up in the air. Batch starts but who is his backup??? The Steelers OLINE helped to give Leftwich a lot of hard hits.

The Steelers played a tough game against the Ravens but now have to beat them at their place. The Steelers need to put it together and get healthy to make a run for the playoffs.

I'm talking about franchise history. How many super bowls wins do the bengals have now? The Steeler back up might be former Pitt Panther Tyler Palko.

What ever happened to Jerrod Johnson, I remember him playing really well in the preseason.

I heard Palkos name today...But you would think Johnson might even be a better option since he was with the team in camp.Palko has been signed by the Steelers before when we had a lot of QB injurys and he's local.(from the area) He's also played for the Chiefs and the Saints.

Big Deal who has won the Super Bowl before or how many times. This is the season and the past wins have nothing to do with it. All that is for bragging while drinking beer. When you compare the season this year the Bengals are starting to put it together and play well. They maybe putting together to make a run at the playoffs. Much like the Giants did last year. Not saying it would be the same result but you want to be playing well at the end of the season and make the playoffs.

Where the Steelers QB situation brings a lot of doubt into what may happen. As well as the offensive line allowing whoever is the QB to take some major hits. It will not matter how well the defense plays if the QB keeps taking hits. That also includes if Ben comes back. He can may not make it thur that abuse either. Right now the Steelers picked up Kafka as the backup QB according to ESPN. Also brought in Plax Burris for a look.

No dog in this fight just a outside opinion of a fan of neither team. The bengals can't hold a candle to the Steelers as far a franchises...That would be like in a NBA example comparing the Utah Jazz to the Boston Celtics. The past does mean something...The Steelers have the respect of a winner and a model franshise. The bengals do not and most likely never will...

Can't you Bengals fans find your own thread to whine on.

I may like the Bengals more than the Steelers but I am talking about football played this year. Where it is now. The talk about franchise is better is good talk but if you are not in the playoffs all that is is talk. I am not sold on the Steelers and have put out why. Right now I feel the Bengals are playing well and on the move up. But the Steelers has some big questions at QB and the line play for whoever is the QB. After watching the Bears play with a backup QB last night their defense even got pushed around.

It says talk Steelers football not the Steelers fan club only. So if you want to complain about that bring more than an one sentence statement that really means nothing. Add to the discussion. Just as some on here have said they think Ben maybe out till the end of the year.
