that's a good comparison..... 91-93 Jordan was dominant, No one could stop him, and he put up huge numbers..... 96-98, He was still pretty dominate, but he realized that he was getting a little older so he started passing the ball more and more. He was willing to let his teammates score early in games.bdubya wrote:After having to look at yourself in the shower, I'm glad I could bring some sunshine to your little world.noreply66 wrote:Kobe---lol---always good to start the morning out with a laugh![]()

Kobe, btw, is 5-for-7 in the NBA Finals against the likes Reggie Miller, 'Practice Guy', Jason Kidd, Dwight Howard, the New Bad Boys and the Boston Big 3. Kobe and MJ are both 10x 1st-Team All-NBA and 9x All-Defensive Team. MJ never put 81 points up on any franchise, and Kobe is one full season away from passing both Wilt and MJ on the all-time scoring list.
Guess who handed the Celtics their only Game 7 loss in NBA Finals history? And he didn't even need Shaq to do it.
MJ made me want to watch NBA basketball years ago. Kobe, Kevin Durant and Tim Duncan are the only reasons for me to watch it now.
In reality, how about Jordan 91-93 vs. Jordan 96-98.
One point I want to bring up about kobe scoring 81 and Jordan never doing that. Most of Kobe's 50+ point games were blowouts, Jordan and Pippen sat on the bench halfway through the 3rd and all of the 4th in Blowouts...... If Jordan was playing in the second half of a lot of those blowouts, he would have hit 90 or more points, but Phil always rested Jordans knees whenever he could and it wouldn't hurt the teams chance of winning.
I wanna build on my last post.......Jordan took over games when he needed to. He could do it anytime he wanted to. Lebron has the ability to take over games but he fades late in those games. If Lebron would just take those big shots instead of passing the ball I think someone could make a better case for him.
Jordan said on more than one occasion that he missed way more game winners than he ever made, but he was never afraid to take those shots. Lebron is scared to death to shoot the ball in the clutch.
