Re: 2015 Cincinnati Reds
Maybe, hopefully I spoke too soon Jay!! Nothing would make me happier. But I kind of doubt it. An outlier....IMO
Re: 2015 Cincinnati Reds
I honestly think if Bruce lives up to his billing, play more games like today every once in awhile and get on base more, that will completely turn around the team. Like mentioned before, Frazier and Votto are the studs. Phillips is a little crazy sometimes but man is he good on defense and his batting this year is crazy good especially over the last couple weeks. Hamilton of course is great on defense, but man if he could just get on base a little bit more. Cozart is having a very good year. Like you said General, the weakest link is the bullpen, except Chapman and recently Hoover has been very good.

Bruce hit 2 out now 0 for 20 is on the way lol needs 2 go, Chapman to much money for 3 outs, 55 should get more at bats, bullpen is terrible, I under stand its a low market club money wise, hell Bailey pitches 2 no hitters he gets big money bad move jmo, It all falls back on the GM, Bad moves . THE BOTTOM LINE there not going to win with this ball club, sad but true!!!

Re: 2015 Cincinnati Reds
Here we are at the break, wouldn't be shocked at all to see the Reds deal some big names. This year is a wash smh!
Re: 2015 Cincinnati Reds
Todd Frazier wins the home run derby! Man that was exciting! It's about the only glory the Reds will see for awhile.
Re: 2015 Cincinnati Reds
Well, it's official....the moves are starting to be made. Johnny Cueto has been traded to the Kansas City Royals in exchange for 3 top pitching prospects. I believe they got a lot in return in this trade, one of the guys actually pitched in the world series last season.
But that asks the question, who is next? Chapman, Leake, Bruce or someone else?

Re: 2015 Cincinnati Reds
The reds made one more trade just before the deadline. Mike Leake got traded to the SF Giants in exchange for two minor leaguers, just before the deadline.
The "experts" are saying to watch for Marlon Byrd to be one of the waiver line trades in August. Byrd has had a very quiet, but very very productive season.

Re: 2015 Cincinnati Reds
The Reds are irrelevant. 1990 seems like another lifetime ago. Anyone remember baseball cards? The Reds will not win another World Series in my lifetime and the sad thing is, I don't care.
Re: 2015 Cincinnati Reds
Saw on ESPN the other day, out of the 122 franchises across all major pro sports (NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL), the Reds were the only franchise never to finish dead last in their division until this year.
