While at Penn State (1969-1971), Harris amassed 380 carries for 2,002 rushing yards, 24 rushing touchdowns, along with 28 receptions for 352 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown. His illustrious career at Penn State led him to be selected with the 13th pick in the 1972 NFL Draft by the Steelers.
RIP Franco.

How ironic with the immaculate reception anniversary coming up this weekend. I wish NFL Network would show that whole game with the commercials included! I would love to go back in time and see that. I don't remember watching it back in the day. Curt Gowdy was one of my favorite announcers of all-time and I loved the network music they had back then! It would get me fired up to go out and play some smear the queer with the boyz.
Franco was truly a good guy who put team above everything else much like most players back then when they didn't care about money and individual glory. The football world lost a good one!

He had a great career that turned out to be even better off the field. Business man and helping the community. A great person.
