Rate you teams Draft

Post by OZZIEOHIO »

Im a Browns fan, and even though we didnt have a pick untill the 4th round I think they did a pretty good job.

To pick up a guy in the 4th round that could start as a rookie I say they got a A

http://nfldraft.rivals.com/cviewplayer. ... t#scouting

5. Cleveland Browns Close
Beau Bell
Outside Linebacker
UNLV
Hometown: Tustin, CA
High School: Tustin
Murphy: Bell is a solid choice for the Browns, who will likely move him to inside linebacker. He compares favorably to David Harris (Jets). A leg injury at the Senior Bowl cost him to run poorly at his Pro Day. Last spring, Bell ran in the 4.55 range at 245 pounds. Watch this kid start as a rookie.
---------------------------------------------------------------

Rucker is another rookie who could see alot of good playing time A

http://nfldraft.rivals.com/cviewplayer. ... t#scouting

12. Cleveland Browns Close
Martin Rucker
Tight End
Missouri
Hometown: St. Joseph, MO
High School: Benton HS
Murphy: Rucker has very good pass catching skills. With the recent health issues surrounding backup TE Steve Heiden, this is a solid choice for the Browns.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Cant find much on Hall Where is St Augustine C

No video on HALL

24. Cleveland Browns Close
Alex Hall
Defensive End
ST AUGUSTINE
Hometown: Glenarden, MD

Murphy: Hall is a defensive end/outside linebacker that could be tried as an edge rusher for the Browns. He had two good seasons at the historically black college program.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This guy is a beast, I just wonder if he has enough speed for the NFL his Video looks ok.B

24. Cleveland Browns Close

http://nfldraft.rivals.com/cviewplayer. ... t#scouting

Ahtyba Rubin
Nose Tackle
Height: 6-foot-3
Weight: 326 pounds
Iowa State
Hometown: Pensacola, FL
High School: Escambia HS
Murphy: Rubin is a former junior college player that jumped on the scene this season. He has the perfect 3-4 nose tackle body type, so this is a solid late-round choice.

-------------------------------------------------------------
Took a chance on Hubbard but if he stays healthy he could become a star. After watching his video I changed the grade from an d, to B He could be considered a steal in the 6th roundB

http://nfldraft.rivals.com/cviewplayer. ... t#scouting

25. Cleveland Browns Close
Paul Hubbard
Wide Receiver
Wisconsin
Hometown: Colorado Springs, CO
High School: Widefield
Murphy: Hubbard has ability as a vertical threat. He was injured this season and lost ground to many receivers. However, you can't teach 6-3, 217, 4.4 and long arms

I am a Kansas City Chiefs fan, and I would give them an A++.... They picked 3 players that could have easily been top 10 picks. Dorsey was the #1 overall rated player in the draft, the Branden Albert was a steal.... Brandon Flowers would have been a top 10 if his 40 times were better at the combine... After that they were just ok.

I'm a n Arizona fan and some of our fans gave us a C.....I'd say closer to a B......surprised Rodegers-Cromartie lasted to the 16th pick....would have liked Rashard Mendenhall there....Campbell is a beast at DE....Doucet lasts at WR until the 3rd round....Iwebema was great as a sophomore at Iowa....Hightower maybe could have been a UDFA.....Harrington lasts until the 6th and will play OLB in a 3-4......Keith runs under 5.0 for the 40 but quit the Oklahoma team and got a bad rep. before going to N.Iowa.

Round 1, Pick 16 (16) Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie CB 6'2" 182 Tennessee State
Pick Analysis:The Cardinals traded up to take Rodgers-Cromartie and help offset the move of Antrel Rolle to safety. Rodgers-Cromartie has great measurables, including running a 4.33 40-yard dash at the combine. Arrived at Tennessee State in 2004 and started every game (44) in the four years he was there. Despite playing against lesser competition, his speed and quickness will help him at the next level.

Round 2, Pick 19 (50) Calais Campbell DE 6'8" 282 Miami
Pick Analysis:A year ago Campbell would've been drafted a lot higher. He struggled a bit as he put on weight to play in a new defense and it just didn't work out for him. If you looked at what he did in 2006, though, he was very impressive. He posted 10.5 sacks and had seven consecutive games with at least one sack.

Round 3, Pick 18 (81) Early Doucet WR 6'0" 212 LSU
Pick Analysis:The Cardinals add another talented wideout to the their receiving corps - a guy who can be the slot receiver that the Cardinals need. Doucet was a highly productive college player and a good route runner at a major program, with 160 receptions.

Round 4, Pick 17 (116) Kenny Iwebema DE 6'4" 274 Iowa
Pick Analysis:Iwebema was solid at Iowa the past three years. He made 30 starts in college and had 14 sacks. He sheds blockers well and has good athletic ability. The only question is his motor. He sometimes seems to let up on plays.

Round 5, Pick 14 (149) Tim Hightower RB 6'0" 226 Richmond
Pick Analysis:This is a very good running back. He is an imitation of Marion Barber - a strong 225 pound runner with similar numbers. He is a hybrid player and can play either fullback or running back and excels in special teams.

Round 6, Pick 19 (185) Chris Harrington DE 6'5" 264 Texas A&M
Pick Analysis:Harrington is an undersized defensive end who can run fast. The hope is that he can be a good pass rusher, but he is more of a situational player at this point.

Round 7, Pick 18 (225) Brandon Keith OT 6'5" 343 Northern Iowa
Pick Analysis:A very large guy. Decent speed and quickness. He's extremely strong and will have a chane to develop as an offensive lineman for the Arizona Cardinals and renowned offensive line coach Russ Grimm.

as a dolphin fan the draft has always been a dissapointment because they still cant find anohter Danny boy so this year i thought o Jake Long will be it but i was wrong Bill did an excellent job with the draft this year. but day two was the let down.
Miami needs QB OL DE DT WR CB LB

Day one
Jake Long OL
Chad Henne QB
Phillip Merling DE
Kendal Langford DE

so day one QB check OL check DE double check

Grade A for Bill on day one

Day Two
now things are looking bright but i guess Bill feel asleep or something

Shawn Murphy OG
Jalen Parmele RB ok bill you trade Booker why not get a third back ok i get it.
Donald Thomas OG come on bill this is number 3 on the OL enough is enough
Lex Hillard RB WHAT WAKE UP BILL NO MORE OFFENSE!!!!!
Lionel Dotson DL Arizona HEY THERE YA GO way to wake up

so the remaining needs
WR no but there were plenty on day two to take
DT check but 7th wait not good should have been 4th
CB none ???
LB none???

so day two F a big fat F

horrible finish a promising draft
the d isnt getting any younger buddy and you havent noticed miami dosent need anymore running backs!

so overall C- way to get hopes up then smash them down

as a Tampa Bay Bucs fan i'm satisfied but not excited...

Round 1
Pick 20 (20 overall): Aqib Talib CB Kansas
Round 2
Pick 27 (58 overall): Dexter Jackson WR Appy State
Round 3
Pick 20 (83): Jeremy Zuttah OL Rutgers
Round 4
Pick 16 (115): Dre Moore DT Maryland
Round 5
Pick 25 (160): Josh Johnson QB San Diego
Round 6
Pick 9 (175): Geno Hayes ILB Florida State
Round 7
Pick 31 (238): Cory Boyd RB South Carolina

i really like picking Talib with the departure of Brian Kelly and so he can learn from and soon compete with the aging Ronde Barber

i'm glad to see them picking up another option at quarterback as they have a lot of QBs on the current roster however i would have rather seen them use one of the higher picks because of all the QBs on the roster only one is half way proven, and that's 38 year old Jeff Garcia. i would like to have seen them use their second pick to draft a QB and with it they could have gotten either John David Booty or Dennis Dixon. but if they must wait that long to draft a QB they could have done much better than they did. at that point in the draft Colt Brennan, Erik Ainge, Matt Flynn and Andre Woodson were all still available but they take Josh Johnson of San Diego?!?!? NFL.com analyzed picking Johnson as follows:
He's not a great passer, but has excellent athleticism for a quarterback and is a good scrambler.

you could have gotten athleticism and scrambling from either Dixon or Woodson

i like the idea of trying to strengthen the QB position but i think they could have done much better considering their options...plus, call me crazy but i think Jackson from Appy State would have been there for the taking when the Bucs' 3rd pick came around.

i guess i'll give them a generous C+

Geno Hayes is a good linebacker but has been bothered by injuries and maybe some off field issues

Josh Johnson can throw that ball and if he does make the final roster he will be a great PocketPasser and a great backup

The Steelers had a very good draft. The top 4 guys they picked could play big parts this season.

I also want Joe "Gunslinger" Flacco

that kid can throw a ball so far you will lose sight of it.

I'M A BENGALS FAN, AND I'D GIVE THEM A VERY LOW B. FIRST SEVERAL PICKS REALLY SOLID. NOT TOO CRAZY ABOUT RECIEVER FROM COASTAL CAROLINA , THERE WERE JUST BETTER RECIEVERS AVAILABLE FRANKLY. LIKE LIMAS SWEED. THEN PICKED 2 LATE NOT EVEN ON MOST DRAFT BOARDS. BUT THEN SHORED THINGS UP GETTING TANK WHALEY. 8)

I definitely agree with ace. The WR coach will work with his routes...he has the size and the 11(?) inch hands.
