After his coments today what are the chances that Mike Brown has finally seen the error of his ways and is going to make Bill Cowher the Bengals GM?

Re: Bill Cowher the new Bengals GM?
Bill Cower on NFL Today"
"COWHER: 'Next season watch out for the Cincinnati Bengals. I am picking them to make it to the playoffs next season. This year the Bengals defense finished 12th while the offense finished dead last. Next year they get back Carson Palmer and Cedric Benson has really come into his own. Their offense is going to turn it around next year and make it to the playoffs.' (Cowher sounded pretty confident too, all the while everybody else could not believe what he was saying)."

To me doesn't sound like he got the job. You bengals fans are really pulling for cowher.
Re: Bill Cowher the new Bengals GM?
Its not that he will be the GM. If everyone on here belives he knows his football . then there must be something for him to say that about the bengals.

Re: Bill Cowher the new Bengals GM?
Really??? It amazes me how these coaches go into TV, become talking heads and their word is gospel. If you follow the logic that Cowher knows his football, therefore what he says must be true, then Brett Favre would have been MVP twelve times according to Madden. Calm down, these guys say things to raise the noise level and ratings for the show.
Re: Bill Cowher the new Bengals GM?
Didnt all the browns fans want him for a coach . Didnt they put a petition on line for all the browns fans to sign.
Wasnt he the top choice of all fans and owners . So he says the bengals will be in the playoffs and now he is just a voice (really)

This Browns fan never signed any petition. I thought all that talk about Cowher was wishful thinking by a lot of people. There is no guarantee Cowher will spin his magic with another team minus the Steelers organization. And there's the rub; what you need is a good org. An owner with a clear idea of what he wants and a system to achieve it plus quality people in more than the GM office is what is needed most. That's what works in New England, Baltimore, and Pittsburgh. Otherwise, you get an endless flow of GMs who fall in love with their picks or owners like Dan Snyder, Jerry Jones, and Al Davis who despite their DESIRE to win constantly meddle, re-adjust and sabotage their teams chances to win consistently. As long as Randy Lerner (who has good intentions) and Mike Brown (who is clueless) own these Ohio clubs, we'll have more frustration than victories.
Re: Bill Cowher the new Bengals GM?
Well if the browns fans never sighed anything i guess the biggest petition passed aroung ohio didnt happen. http://cowher09.com/
I wouldnt say it if it wasnt true. You must be dazed and confused.
I would say Lerner is a lot more clueless. Gave up draft picks . Payed way to much money for free agents that didnt pan out. set club back a few more years. (not that mike brown is clueless)

Again, I never signed it and I'm telling fellow Browns fans that Bill Cowher will never coach the Browns so get over it. As for Mike Brown, the record speaks for itself.
Re: Bill Cowher the new Bengals GM?
Your right ,cower will not be a browns coach. But the browns fans and owner tried. If you say the record speaks for its self . Do you mean since the bengals became a team in 68 or when mike brown came into power. I think yours is worse. what your excuse. Even with mike brown were 1 game up on the browns for the battle of ohio. That is sad.
Since mike brown took over in 1990, they have only won the divison twice 1990 and 2005. You have how many ? So we are better off Sooo if were that bad that would put you where ? Lower than a snakes belly , below sea level.
Now thats funny

Re: Bill Cowher the new Bengals GM?
So your bad is better than my bad? Look, they both stink. We are arguing shades of incompetancy. No way am I going to sit here and defend what the Browns have done. At least you didn't have your terrible team taken away from you. No matter how bad the Browns stink, I still watch them on Sundays, just not as religiously as I used to. Try four seasons without a team to follow. The Browns won't make the playoffs anytime soon. I'd be willing to say the Bengals won't be there next year either. And the sad thing is, that doesn't make me feel any better. By the way, the Old Man knew what he was doing but Mike really doesn't have a clue. Lerner doesn't do much for me but he might accidentally hire someone sometime who does have a plan. Your left watching the obituaries.
Re: Bill Cowher the new Bengals GM?
No I havent had my team taken away. But i did send letters and e-mails to help get them back . I not a big art fan . but to say the bengals are worse , I didnt understand when you have been throught more qbs and coaches than the rest of the nfl. That was my point. Mike brown will never be his father. And that is true . He needs to step down. And yes i watch my team even when they lose , Thats a loyal fan . Sooooo i guess were kinda of the same
.

Re: Bill Cowher the new Bengals GM?
Yep, brothers in misery. By the way, I looked back through these posts and didn't see once where I said the Bengals were worse than the Browns. And I still am not saying that. Oh god, I wish I could be a Steelers fan but that just makes me want to hurl.

Re: Bill Cowher the new Bengals GM?
Know the difference between a Cubs fan and a Browns fan? The Cubs fans get drunk at the park and call their team the Loveable Losers. The Browns fans get drunk and throw the bottles at the field and say Steelers suck!
