I don't know what the big deal is about New York, other than the arena, what else makes the knicks so special. The only thing I can remember is that they, and Spike Lee, were the bad guys when then bulls and Jordan played.

What more does he have to gain by going to NY?

Its the biggest market in the world. Media frenzy, night in and night out. More endorsement deals.

Do you think the media has not covered him enough already? For him to be covered any more it would have to be a TV reality show.

As far as endorsements, the man will bring in more money than any other athlete other than Tiger and maybe Phil according to ESPN. And just as this article by J.A. Adande said
( http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/s ... ple-081126 ) Lebron does not need NY, NY needs Lebron. The media will follow him.

Media does follow LeBron. Yes. But, LeBron wants to be the face of the world. Period. In New York, he can do it. There is far more media availability in NYC than in Cleveland.

I also agree that NY needs LeBron. IMO, him and D-Wade will be a package deal come 2010. Also, some teams, such as the Knicks or Nets, may be able to afford Bosh as well, depending on if he wants to take a pay cut. Come 2010, however, the Knicks, Nets, Heat, Cavs, Clippers, Bulls, or the Pistons will have LeBron and Dwyane Wade added to their roster. Hopefully Wade comes home to Chicago and brings LeBron with him ;)

Do you think teams will have enough room for Wade and Lebron?

That does sound interesting going to Chicago;
Rose, James, Wade ~ Pippen, Jordan, Rodman(minus the issues) :aaaaa46

The only people who care about NY Knicks is New Yorkers. That is a baseball city.

As far as media attention, where does L.A. fall into this mix. For years the Lakers and Celtics have historically been the biggest NBA attention draw, what about them?

This does'nt matter to me either way, I just like to hear opinions.

Yes. Some teams will have enough for both, and I know they are great friends and play very well together (Olympics). The Nets and Knicks will definitely have enough for both, depending on how much their asking price is of course. If they both demand $25 mill contracts, then no. But if its a normal price, then yes.

Yes. The Lakers and Celtics are the basketball cities in the league. And Chicago. However, that may be part of the point. He wants to make New York the town. New York is a better city than Cleveland. Cleveland has showed they wont build a team around LeBron. Yes, they got Mo Williams. Who else? Boobie? Z? They should have went after Posey. They didnt go after Kidd and other players they had a chance at. New York WILL spend the money to build a team around him.

As a Bulls fan, I have been waiting for 2010 for some time now. Dwyane Wade, a Chicago native, may come back to the city. Now that we got D-Rose, who has been phenomenal, Ive thought about it less. It would be nice to put Wade in the backcourt with Rose. Itd also be nice if Ty Thomas and Noah would develop :roll:

Anyway, I think that NBA fans should also be worried about Olympiakos or another European team. There is no cap over there. LeBron could get paid $50 mill a year over there. As well as have his own mansion, personal staff, and yacht (which was going to be in an offer for Kobe, but they ultimately didnt offer it). How could you not accept that? Seriously. His endorsements would probably be the same.
