^^^^^^^^^^
They might like the money but I don't think half of players back in the day would act like these prima donna, you owe me the world, watch me, I'm entitled to this and all the braggidoccio (spelling ?) going on in today's NBA. I think most parents raised their kids to be a lot more humble and hungry decades ago. IMO that's why the ratings are down, they can't support the WNBA (those uniforms of some teams are hilarious) anymore and their own revenues are going down and they're losing money according to all published reports from various sources. Where will it stop before the plug is pulled ?

The Mavs had their chances tonight. All I know is that Dirk can't do it all by himself and Barea and Terry combined don't make one good guard as neither one can make a three when it counts (and this is with an open look). Geeesssh. I wonder what kind of salary those two make. Probably as much in any one year as Oscar Robertson and Jerry West made in their careers.

Miami looked pretty good tonight. Dirk looked like he was in a video game with that rodeo clown shooting in the fourth quarter.

By the Heat winning that game, that forces the Mavs to have to go back to MIA and thats not good for Dallas.

I think Miami will win one of the last two in Dallas and win one on their home floor in game 6 to rap up the series.
Re: 2010-2011 NBA Finals
Dallas needs to get more scoring out of their bench like they did in the play-offs to win.

I'm curious what the TV ratings are for this series. I haven't watched much of it.

Re: 2010-2011 NBA Finals
All the Heat have to do is win one more in Dallas and this series will be over barring a Miami meltdown. I look for the Heat to win tonight, and then a desperate Mavs team win in Game 5, and lose a close one to the Heat in Game 6. Wade has been great in this series but the Heat need more scoring and more aggressive play from James if they are going to win the title. LeBron was big late in the game in the Boston/Chicago series but he has deferred more in the Finals. If he can increase his Game 3 total of 17 to somewhere around 24 and maintain his rebounding and assists then the Heat will not be stopped.

I have no problem with Lebron deffering offensively in the fourth quarter if Wade is getting it done consistantly throughout the game. Thats the whole reason these guys got together. They have three players who on any given night, depending on which is hot at that particular moment, can successfully close out games.

Re: 2010-2011 NBA Finals
I agree with both of you, but like gymrat said LBJ needs to have around 24 a night if they want to close out the Mavs. If the Mavs bench gets hot that could be a big turn around in this series. I think the X factor for the Heat is Mike Miller, he has got alot of playing time in these finals and he is the guy that needs to hit some big shots.
Re: 2010-2011 NBA Finals
^^ I am not sure if the final outcome is rigged but it sure has seemed during the past several years that the "life" of the series have been extended by officiating. During the regular season NBA and NFL games seem to be rigged to a certain extent, if nothing else to keep the games close. Makes it harder to watch even though at times I think the powers that be just want close games for the fans. Some pro sports are drifting toward being in the class of rastling and it sucks!!

Re: 2010-2011 NBA Finals
I agree 91....... The Heat meltdown in game 2 was on them mostly but game 3 saw some head scratchers. The big fouls to me down the stretch that helped were when Dirk got "fouled" grabbing 2 defensive rebounds, one he had position but made no upward movement to get the ball and the other he was more at fault because he established no position at all but yet got the call. NBA officiating has been awful since I started really watching in the 80's but now it is blatant at times. The Mavs have been helped several times for sure in this series and tonight may be the worst yet!
I agree with bball, 7 but at least 6 unless the Heat just get clicking and not allow the refs to determine the outcome.
