Browns have to be careful who they play as they only left themselves with 2 QBS on the active roster after all the cuts.I wonder who they would play if Johnny boy and Hoyer got hurt ? Probably see and bunch of three and outs and a worn out defense, although a lot of Browns fans would probably argue they already see that

Never would have thought at halftime Pitts would have needed a last second field goal to win, tough loss for the Browns, but it was like a win considering how they played in the preseason,it was at Pittsburg and the way that first half went. They proved an offense does actually exist in Cleveland, the offense was pretty balanced between running and passing in the second half.I like them running backs they have and Hoyer was pretty consistent although he got lucky a couple times. The defense got embarrassed in that first half but finally woke up in the second half. Now if they could just feed off this and carry it on.

Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. How 'bout we put together two good halves and beat somebody! As Bill Parcells said, "You are what your record says you are."

Everybody has these high hopes for them after that second half, now watch them flop in the next game, its been the norm.If they can come out and be impressive again who knows, maybe it will be a miracle season.I know if the offense does get it turned around this year Shanahan will be one and done with the Brownies.Somebody will nab him up after all the end of season firings.

Way to go Brownies! Another thrilling finish except this time they are on the other end if it,how about that offense? The defense struggled most of the second half and the offense picked them up,never dreamed I would say that.Things looking good up on the Lake :aaaaa41

Gotta love it. But Browns have always played NO tough. I'll withhold judgement until after we play the Ravens. :-D

Tough loss for the Brownies! Offense was looking great, but the defense couldn't get any stops then when they finally get a couple stops the offense disappears,if they could get both teams playing good at the same time they would be dangerous.

Play calling pure and simple. What might work in the 3rd quarter simply won't do in the 4th in a tight game. Don't try an end around with reverse. Don't pitch back. When presented with opportunities, the way to turn around a losing culture with stud running backs is just to line, run down hill and punch them in the mouth.

The Browns are coming off the bye week with a chance to work on some of the issues that cropped up and cost them a super start. Maybe this is just the level they are capable of but now they have a few games in the new system so I'm cautiously optimistic. For one, their next 5 foes have a combined 4-12 / record. Time to make hay.

Defense has got to stop the run better, this is the first time in a long time I have seen the Browns give up so many running yards

I've seen sources report that the Pettine defense is very complicated. May just be a settling in by the players. I think we'll know more about what to expect the rest of the season from how they do Sunday. Four straight games televised!

WOW! In the first half I was thinking well Pettine will be gone by seasons end with Haslams hair trigger finger. Then they pulled another Pittsburg in the second half except this time they won! Biggest road team comeback in NFL history! The new powerhouse Brownies offense churned out 460 total yards. How about Benjamin redeeming himself after that fumbled punt, that was a great catch in the back of the endzone keeping his feet in and Hoyer is looking like the second coming of Joe Montana, the line and running backs played great, was they just playing possum in the preseason ? The defense finally woke up in the second half, but they can't keep playing like this and digging a huge hole for the offense. It shouldn't have come down to this I thought the Browns would win easier and who knows what would have happened if Locker hadn't got hurt, but the Brownies will take them any way they can get them.

Got a feeling the Brownies will come back down to earth against the Squeelers.Browns defense will be missing three starters including Joe Haden, so that leaves Skrine to cover Brown in an already struggling defense.Brownies will probably have to score a boatload of points and I just don't see it happening this time around, but I hope I am wrong!

Bolt,
I understand your thoughts. But if the Browns are ever to move past their post-expansion mindset, it's time to punch the bully in the face. I am going out on a limb but I think that time has arrived. I'm not predicting a rout but I believe these Browns have a statement to make and this is the time. Browns 34-27.
