Bucs come from behind with some timely late inning hitting to assure themselves of at least a split in this 4 game series.

After 21 games this year the Bucs are 12-9 with 77 runs scored and have allowed 72 runs. After 21 games last year we were 9-12 with 49 runs scored and had given up 63 runs.

Pirates take 3 of 4 from the Phillies to win the series and start the road trip right. On to St Louis for a 3 game set vs the NL Central leaders.

After winning the stl series,the Pirates only won one of three in Millwaukee and one of three v.the nats this week.Need to batten down the hatches and get back at it next week.

The Bucs split a pair with Seattle,and took three of four from the Mets last week.So far this week they have split the first two games of a four pack series with Mil.They won tonight's game on a walk off HR in the bottom of 12th inning off the bat of Andrew McCutchen."How Sweet It Is!"

Bucs took the next two with the Brewers and have taken two so far in a two city four pack series v.Detroit.They wrap up the series with Detroit tomorrow night.Looking pretty good at this moment in time.

Buccos stage a 7th inning comeback as they score 4 runs to beat the Tigers.

Pirates are now 24-1 when leading after 7 innings.

Pittsburgh has won 18 games this month and won 15 in April. Their 33-20 record ties them with the Reds as they both have the 2nd best record in MLB. The Cards, who hold a 2.5 game lead over both the Bucs and Reds, lead MLB with the best record of 35-17. The 3 best teams in MLB are currently in the NL Central. The Bucs and Reds would be in first place in any other division.

Bucs go for win #3 in this 4 game series on Thursday as they send Locke to the hill.
