The years of collecting draft picks has brought in a lot of talent. That makes the next coach not as much of a builder as the coaches the Browns have had lately. Here is another thing to think of is Jacksonville where the new coach got them 1 game short of the playoffs only to have them playing terrible now. They went old school bringing in Tom Coughlin to help. Need to bridge the gap with a variety of old school and new school. Need to develop a team atmosphere as everyone on the team plays a part. Develop quality depth.

Well, to the Panthers game. Defense gives up sustained drive to Carolina, then answer with quick strike plays. Hold Panthers on 2nd possession, then penalty, fumble, oof! Still young and discipline needed.

Dorsey has to be looking at this and thinking he needs to spend some cap money to fill out the holes and get left tackle

Jamie Collins LB was traded by the Pats because he would not play his position. Did more free style not playing what was called. Hard to really tell if he is still doing that. Something the coaches would know. He was signed to a 4 year $50 mil contract in 2017 by Sasha, Then this past summer rated as the worst contract in the NFL. He is a good player but not a difference maker.

Browns game would be nice to be watching here. The only game on is the Giants vs Redskins. Almost half 31 to 0.

Alex Ogletree of the Giants would have been a great pickup for the Browns this past summer. He was traded from the Rams with a 7th round pick for the Giants 4th and 6th round pick. He signed a 4 year $42 mil contract in 2017. He had 231 tackles the last two years. A team player and leader on a defense. WAY better than Jamie Collins. No team will want Collins contract so he should be released after the season.

Keep me posted daze. I thought I was a for sure in getting to see this game on my direct TV but even with Cincy and Pittsburgh playing at 4:00 my beloved packaged showed the giants redskins at 1. Don’t ask me why. But you and Siri and mid game highlights is how I’m watching

Someone give me a run down that got to watch the game play for play.

Baker Mayfield with a 126.9 rating today, wow! He was throwing some darts in the first half today! Slowed a bit in the second half but just an outstanding game overall for the sensational rookie. Dorsey has to be patting himself on the back for drafting this guy when so many people thought he was crazy and thought Mayfield was too small. Chubb didn't get a lot of yards but he really ran hard and got extra yards when he shouldn't have. Another feather in the cap for Dorsey picking him. Offensive line did a decent job giving Mayfield time although he got sacked a couple times. Mayfield really knows how to move around in the pocket helping the line out. The defense had a tough time getting off the field today but they held tough once they got in the red zone. Penalties were driving me crazy again. Browns always get them at the worst times it seems. Pretty good win overall considering the penalties and fumbles which were in the worst places on the field for the defense to bail them out. I thought when the Browns kicker clunked the extra point off the upright after getting a closer look from the penalty I thought oh no here we go again only Cle. To his credit he bounced back and made a big field goal from 40 yards out. They said the loudspeakers were playing Danger Zone after the game to honor Baker waking up.

It seems the Browns are a real football team. Not ready for the playoffs but in that category of any given Sunday. That's not something you could say for a long time. They've had 3 or 4 decent seasons since 1999 but they were followed up by years of mediocrity. This feels different. Dear God, let Jimmy run the Crew and leave the Browns to Dorsey.

Big big game Saturday night. Mayfield and the browns have a TON to prove. National spotlight. Prime time. Hope they go out there to mile high and take care of business. Set beside a woman on my flight that a Broncos shirt on. For a 1-1/2 she absolutely poured it on the browns , me and every browns fan there is. I’ll be thinkin bout her come Saturday.
