2022 Cincinnati Reds
Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds
Why rush India (and eventually Stephenson) back from IL and risk more serious injury? The season is already lost so might as well let a key to your team's future get 110% healthy to avoid more injury.

Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds
The LA Dodgers sent the Reds to their 5th straight loss with an 8-2 win at GABP.
Tyler Mahle an three other Reds pitchers threw batting practice as LA tallied 17 hits.
After showing some life in May, the Reds are back on pace to lose 106 games.

Reds, like Cleveland can go spurts looking good and more s[urts looking bad.
Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds
True but the Reds has step up on other teams and minor league players learning more what's coming up.lol. So they can trade them
Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds
Reds still on pace to lose 100 plus games, especially if (when?) they trade Castillo, Mahle, or others for payroll reduction and prospects.
Since the 3-22 start, the Reds are 29-32 playing at a .475 clip and losing only one additional game to the first place Brewers.

In this division jmo if they had not traded everyone they would be in the running ??? Never will no?
Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds
I'm starting to think that maybe it's best we don't trade Castillo unless we get an absolute RANSOM in return for him. We hold all the power over a playoff contending team who's desperate for an ace, so if they don't offer us everything plus the kitchen sink, don't do it. Castillo is not a FA till 2024 so we shouldn't be scrambling to send him away because of payroll purposes just yet if the price isn't right.
It's not often you have an Ace like Castillo to build a young core around. I believe if we're going to trade anyone for it to be Mahle and I'm still 50/50 on that. Our Front Office has been known to mess up deals quite frequently though so who knows what we'll do with this.. let's just hope it doesn't end up like the Cueto trade!.. or Jay Bruce.. or Aroldis Chapman.. (you catch my drift? lol)
