Cruz's switch hitting. Anyone else notice he bats better left than he has been batting right? Or is it just me? GO REDS!

Cruz hasn't been hitting the ball to well on the right side of the plate. Seems to do better hitting on the left side. What do you think, Geronimo? GO REDS!

I can't see the games but some here seem to believe he bats so much better from the left-hand side. Why doesn't he just stay on the left side then? He needs to do something because his average has been sinking like the Titanic. He was at 360 back in June. Nice that other hitters are picking up the slack these last couple of games. Hope they keep it up. Benson and McClain have been pretty solid lately looking at box scores.

I just saw Cruz isn't in the lineup today. Routine rest day or poor plate performance? Interesting

Yeah I agree, C-Bolt. That is interesting. He seems to strike out more batting right handed. Bell ought to tell him, or give him some advice to bat left. I'm exited for this team! They got the players to put it on anybody, IMO. GO REDS!

Numbers do suggest that Elly hits better from the left side because that is his dominant side. However, by him batting lefty all the time can put him in a tougher scenario vs a LHP opposed to him just hitting from the right side. We forget that he has only played in 40 games which is an extremely small sample size to give up hitting from the right side completely - we do whatever we can to get him in the lineup because of how quickly he can change up the game

But to put some focus on our other rookies:
Spencer Steer and Matt McLain have been LIGHTS OUT!! These two are playing amazing as of late and have all season. Outside of Corbin Carroll, those two are easily the front runners for ROY. Add Will Benson to the list of guys who have been playing awesome lately as well.

Reds are on a 5 game win streak, 0.5 GB in the Central and own sole 1st place of the first wild card spot with a HUGE series starting tonight in Milwaukee. Ashcraft on the bump for the Reds tonight

That is probably what will happen and I hope it doesn't. I hate seeing trades made giving up every day position player for a player that might pitch every 4th to 5th day. India is capable of putting up decent numbers and is a really good 2nd baseman. Even if you get a top notch starter there is no guarantee he will continue to pitch like that.
