Strangest No-Hitter

June 21, 1917, Babe Ruth pitched to only one batter, Walking him, before being ejected from the game for punching an umpire in the face. The reliever, Ernie Shore retired 26 straight batters , finishing the strangest no-hitter ever. The batter that walked was double up.

The Philadelphia Phillies didn't have a pitcher throw a no-hitter from the end of 1906 to 1964.
