And he is also usually in the top 10 in the majors in RBI's and HR's.

Sorry, my bad.
I meant just Home Runs.

Actually last year, Ryan Howard struck out the most. I think he is pretty good....

I think Dunn started to come around last year. I expect big things out of him and less K's... Still not sure why we let Hamilton go tho... Anyone have any insight on that move?

Re: 2008 Cincinnati Reds
overcrowding in the outfield and lack of depth in the bullpen
with Hamilton, you also had Dunn, Griffey, Hopper, Bruce, and Freel ... someone had to go to make room for their top prospect (Bruce)... they must have felt Hamilton was the most expendable... trading him fpr a pitcher

I look for Freel or Patterson to be traded before the trade deadline for more pitching.

I don't see Freel being traded. He is to important to the team. The guy can play any where and the Reds need him. Thats one less bench player and one more pitcher.

Re: 2008 Cincinnati Reds
the reds will be in the same boat as they were in last year...........they never have good management ....
baker might be a little better but i dont see the reds doing any good again this year !!!!!!!
GO INDIANS!

Re: 2008 Cincinnati Reds
Their bullpen blew 28 saves last season-so RHP Francisco will be a welcome addition.
They also gave up Josh Hamilton to get Volquez who couldn't translate his great stuff into results with the Rangers.
Will pitching in Great American Ball Park help Volquez?

nobody is going to trade for freel. He will most likely be on the DL by the all star break.

Re: 2008 Cincinnati Reds
I would take a hole team full of Freels. That guy works hard and plays hard. He never quits on any play.

Re: 2008 Cincinnati Reds
You'd need about 60 of them, because Freel gets hurt about every 40 games. I love how Freel plays as well, but you cannot depend on him for the long haul.

Same here. He gives it 110% day in and day out. Gotta love his attitude about the game.

Re: 2008 Cincinnati Reds
The Reds got beat by the Yankees last night 4-0. But, the pitching looked pretty good. We just didn't have any run support. At least we still have some time to work out the kinks. Go REDS !!
