2010 REDS
Re: 2010 REDS
There doesn't seem to be a lot of optimism around Red land this winter; lots of people are picking them to finish 3rd place or worse in the central.

After what they have done in past years, people will think that till they see change. I will still go to 3 or 4 games. Just love the ball park and enjoy wacthing the game.

Re: 2010 REDS
I know they need a little pitching help ,BUT they need some hitters BAD. They hardley scored any runs last year. It seems they only had 1 maybe 2 runs a game . There were to many 0 run games too.

Re: 2010 REDS
Jermaine Dye and Miquel Tejada are both still avilable. They both could supply alot of pop, but we all know that the asking price is to high!!
Let Janish play short, we all know that he is a good defensive player. Give Stubbs and Dickerson a decent chance to show what they can do. I know that Dickerson had quite a few at bats. however, most of them was coming off the bench. Stubbs showed alot in his short stint.
WHAT EVER THEY DO PLEASE DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT PUTTING WILLIE TAVERAS ON THE FIELD. He has shown that he is absolutely worthless in the rebuilding of the Redlegs. However, we all know that Dusty is probably going to try and justify why he should be in the lineup.

Re: 2010 REDS
a 240 average and a 275 OBP is absolutely unacceptable for a leadoff hitter. Taveras needs put down to single A. Dickerson hit about 270 and had an OBP that was close to 100pts higher. Why not lead him off?
Re: 2010 REDS
I tell you it's an absolute shame Taveras couldn't hit the broad side of a barn because the dude was a base-stealing machine and he is quick as a cat.

I know I was so hopeful that he would hit last year. That cat can go from 1st to 3rd in about 1 second!!

He sure looked like a deer caught in the headlights when he was reading pitchers. All that speed means nothing if you can't get on base and can't read pitchers when you do!!!

Reds signed Relief Pitcher Jose Arredondo to a minor league deal. Hopefully he returns to his 08 form (61 inn 1.62 ERA) instead of his 09 form (45 inn 6.00 ERA). He's only 25

Walt Jockety has pulled the Reds out of the running for Johnny Damon, saying 'it's not a financial fit, right now'

Re: 2010 REDS
With the Yankees signing Randy Winn, analysts are saying that Damon could be a F.A. into spring training, so maybe the asking price comes down.
