I'm okay with that, now Peraza will get full playing time, and I believe he'll be a stud!

Your positivity is infectious!!
Which is better: losing 90+ games with a 36 year old 2B in the last year of his contract taking valuable PT away from a star in the making and then losing said-2B to free agency and getting nothing in return or losing 90+ games with a star in the making at 2B and gaining 2 prospects who could solidify a bad bullpen?
I know you'll pick the first option, but it's clearly the 2nd one.

There's no reasoning with him Dani. To him every move is the wrong move, somehow, he's smarter than the front office people

You got to admit the front office is not the smartest

Re: 2017 Cincinnati Reds
Votto hit .326 last year, which means he hit over .300 for the course of the season. Which is good.
The Reds won't finish over .500, but they should finish 4th in the Central, which is an improvement. Scott Feldman being a #3 isn't a good thing. Made a big mistake by not bottoming out and this is going to be a looooooonnnnnngggggg rebuild.

Votto is one of the top 10 hitters in all of baseball. It is time for people to lay off him for the Reds problems. It is the Reds fault (not Votto) that they signed him to the monster contract. Votto produces unlike the Bailey contract.
He also leads all active players in OBP by like 25 points which is unheard of. Lifetime batting average .313
