I'll say it...As of right now...The Pens are the best team in the NHL.And to think they are still playing without two of their best players.Scary stuff!

Pens 5 Devils 2

Pens win their NHL league leading 11th straight as they put 5 pucks in the net behind Brodeur.

Matt Cooke scores 2 goals and Martin Brodeur just lost his liquor liscense!

The Pens are now 2 points behind the front running Rangers.

Neal with the hat trick and 1 asst for 4 points, Malkin with 2 goals and 3 assts for 5 points and Crosby with 4 assts for 4 points.

Pens are scary good right now as they are 3-0-1 in Crosby's 4 games back and 24-4-2 in their last 30 games.

Rangers lead on the Pens is down to 1 point, 97-96 with 10 games left in the season.

Predators come to the Burgh for a thursday night matchup.

Pens 5 Bruins 3 "Elvis has left the building."

Pens get the win with backup goalie Johnson looking good in the net and Crosby getting 2 goals.

Need to stay away from injuries as the Pens face the Rangers and Flyers in the final 2 games of the regular season.

Rangers got their win tonite as they lock up first place in the division over the Pens.

Pens need 1 win out of the the last 2 games to lockup 4th place in the conference and home ice in the upcoming playoff series vs the Flyers.

Pens 5 Rangers 2

Pens take the season series 4-2 and the Pens secure home ice in the upcoming playoff series vs the Flyers with the win.

Rangers head coach Tortorella whines as usual after the game about the Pens. ("Tortorella doesn't know if he should cry or wind his watch") Lets face it, in a head to head matchup, the Pens are just a better team but the Rangers are tied with the most wins in the NHL.

Pens have scored 5 or more goals in their last 9 wins and have reached the 50 win level again. It was also the Pens 250th straight sellout. This is also the 4th straight season they will be runners up in their division and the #4 seed in the Eastern Conference.

Saturdays game vs the Flyers is meaningless as the seedings for the playoffs are set, #4 Pens vs #5 Flyers. Look for both teams to rest as many players as they can as both teams gear up for what appears to be a very tough 7 game series and no doubt the premier opening round series on the road to Lord Stanley's Cup. Puck drops at 4pm on NBCSN in a national game.

Flyers lead the season series over the Pens 4-1.

Pens 4 Flyers 2

Both teams send out their regulars for the season finale and the playoff preview as Malkin gets his 50th goal.

Game 1 of the premier series of round one of the playoffs between the Pens and Flyers starts at 7:30 Wednesday as a national tv game on NBCSN.

This will be the 6th time these 2 teams have met in the playoffs. Philly won the first 3 series with the Pens winning the last 2.

Promises to be a series of old fashion, hard nose hockey.
