Tired of losing ! Play to win ! Not because they got a big contract ! That set them for life , he's not Pete.
Re: 2020 Cincinnati Reds
In 2019, the Reds collapsed in spring training prior to the 1-8 regular season start causing them to be realistically being eliminated from the postseason in April. I hope I am wrong, but 2020 is headed for another .500 season due to managerial incompetence both on the field and front office. There just does not seem to be sense of pride surrounding the orginization.

Not even half way through spring training and here comes the constant complaining.
Re: 2020 Cincinnati Reds
C’mon fellas.. what’s all the complaining for?? Spring Training doesn’t matter.. it’s to start getting warmed up and test out new stuff and let the non roster invites show what they got!
Votto is just fine. The man knows how to hit! This is where he focuses more on his plate discipline. If you pay attention, most of the time he doesn’t swing until he gets 2 strikes! He’s also drawn 8 walks thus far for a .375 OBP. Hits are nice and all of course, but to score runs you have to get on base!
And the Front office talk.. c’mon. David Bell is in his 2nd year and has been very involved with this team. They’re also doing everything they can do assure a winning season and playoffs (Ex. Our offseason signings)
Again, Spring Training I’m not concerned with. I have my tickets bought for my first Opening Day ever and I’m ready for a very optimistic 2020 Reds campaign!!

Re: 2020 Cincinnati Reds
You could say that again!! Honestly, if Votto hits .260-.270, but has an OBP of .375+, he's doing his job. With all the offensive production we have in the lineup for this year, that's all he has to do in my opinion.BigGuy10 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 6:26 pm C’mon fellas.. what’s all the complaining for?? Re: 2020 Cincinnati Reds
Yep, I agree! However, there is still no reason why Votto can’t hit .290 + as I stated on a previous page here. The man knows what he’s doing. Now if Votto’s OBP dips below .340 then we can start questioning some things but until then, he’s just fine.Chieftain2009 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 11:08 pmYou could say that again!! Like you said with the offensive help, if Joey gets on base we have weapons to get him around to score. Also, not trying to argue at all with anyone here, sorry if it came off that way! I just really enjoy talking baseball and sharing my opinions on the Reds.

There is some talk of a start up around Memorial Day. All games in Arizona, no fans, no dugouts, electronic umps, and players and staff in quarantine .

I think major league players stay in better off season shape than back in older days, but I am sure throwing arms and hamstrings will be keeping trainers busy.countywide35 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 11, 2020 7:16 pm How many injuries will MLB see after a season is started ?
