I've been a Penguin fan since the late 80's.So you know who i'm rooting for.Does Ohio have a hockey team?? lol  On a serious note, when does the honeymoon wear off for the Bluejackets? Not even a snif at the playoffs in eight years of existance? When do the moving vans pull up to the Nationwide arena? There are quite a few cities out there that want a team and want to build a winner.

well then you just dont know much about hockey Dallas won a close one last night and Flyers will get another win tonight.

so thats 3-2 3-2

the stars and flyers are turning it on now the flyers have had the worst luck with injuries but they have depth so yea they can make a comeback and if they dont well they fought hard and did extremely well as a six seed.

I have been a fan of the Pens before Super Mario came to town.

The Pens bring Lord Stanley's Cup back to the 'Burgh in 6.

The Dead Wings are having a hard time selling all of their tickets for the Cup in Hockeytown.

I think the teams are for the most part evenly matched. If there is an advantage it would be to the Red Wings in goal with Osgood over Fleury.

Glad to see the Wings take Game 1 tonight!

I don't see every game being that easy for Detroit. They have tremendous puck possession and simply didn't allow Pittsburgh the opportunities they are used to, which is how Detroit defeated teams all season. I look for Detroit to win Game 2 and take 1 in Pittsburgh before sealing it up at home in Game 5.

Not soon! The entire purpose of Nationwide was for them and they still have a good fan base. It's only a matter of time before the pieces fall in place and they make the final 8 in the Western Conference. Columbus loves a winner and when they find the formula Nationwide will be one of the best places in the NHL to watch a game!

Good Luck to em

and GO WINGS!!!!

Never say never...Who thought the Colts would leave Baltimore or the Browns Cleveland. If they dont start winning or showing promise the fans will become disinterested.I'm suprised it hasn't happened already. That was my point to start with. Most fans in this area will look to the Penguins as a regional team to root for and some probably already have.

they were right there for most of the year (until the last quarter of the season)....as for Nationwide being a good place to watch hockey, it already is.. a couple years ago it was ESPN mag's best stadium experience in all of sports
