BATTLE OF OHIO: INDIANS VS. REDS
Looks to be a GREAT series with the Indians coming to the Queen City. Tonight Cueto is on the mound and I have a good feeling he will be in top form after a couple of "shaky" starts. He always pitches better at home. With all three top starters pitching in this series I look for the Reds to take 2 of three. (Hopefully)

Dunn with a three run bomb in the bottom of the ninth gives the Reds 4-2 win over the Tribe. Reds have won five straight.

When David Weathers came in I said the Indians will score 1 or more this inning. Dunn seems to be swinging the stick better along with Phillips who is playing very well. I see Griffey going back to Seattle and the Reds bringing up a stud from the minors.

Jay Bruce is a stud for the Reds. He is playing at(louisville)the Reds triple A team. I have watched a couple of their games and he is a man playing with boys, so to speak.

I've been to both games of the series so far and surprisingly the reds won both games. Until this week, i thought I would never see the reds win 3 in a row all season, and now we've won 5 in a row and have a very good chance of picking up 6 with Volquez on the mound Sunday. Hopefully this is the turning point in the season and the Reds start climbing back up those NL Central standings.. and oh, how bout them nice little Brandon Phillips bobbleheads?! pretty neat little suckers..

tomorrow should be another great one.... Cliff Lee 6-0, 0.67 ERA and Volquez 6-1, 1.12 ERA, only the 3rd time in MLB when the two ERA leaders from both leauges have went head to head

I looked at the standings and even though they are in last in the central they are 4 out in the wild card.
Also if the Reds do trade Jr. look for it to be after he hits the big HR...they better get someone out of him also if he is traded.

Both will not be gone....more than likely it will be Jr gone...he never really produced what people thought he would like he did for Seattle, granted he was hurt for like 4-5 years straight.
But a better question now is what do the Reds do when Keppinger is back with Janish and how he is playing.

Reds win 6-4, first time they have swept the Indians ever, to finish their home stand 6-0 .... Volquez improves to 7-1 going 6 only giving up 2 while MLB ERA leader Cliff Lee only goes 5 2/3 allowing 6, he had given up runs in only 3 innings all year, he gave up runs in 3 or 4 inning in this game.

In game two I believe it was the Indians played well but the pen let them down. I can not wait to watch STO tonight and see All Bets are Off when they say the Reds did not face CC and if he would have pitched the Reds would have only won 2.

Re: BATTLE OF OHIO: INDIANS VS. REDS
The Reds are starting to play together and giving there pitching a little help when needed. The thing the reds have to avoid for the rest of the year to stay in the hunt is losing consecutive series. That always hurts the confidence and is hard to get back into the mix of things. They have dug there self a hole starting the season off but now they are slowing coming back to the surface...hopefully they see its not so bad out here!!
