i seen espn say 2-4 weeks and oden isnt a bust just yet he missed just one full season remember amare stoudamire had the same surgery and came back to 100% it took awhile but he did and 2-4 weeks sounds a whole lot better than the whole year who knows when he comes back he may not get any more injuries and play the way people are expecting him to play

lets see, injured during freshmen year of college. missed entire first season of nba. so far he has logged 14 minutes in the nba. i agree, he should have stayed in school at least one more year. i think mr oden and osu knew something everybody is just now realizing(injury prone, genetic disorder). he took the money while he could which i dont blame him for. he could just overpower people in college which he cant in the nba. so far, he is a bust.

Several of those on your list of "made it" can be considered a bust,
based on their potential and what they were projected to do in the NBA.

If your willing to put Oden as a bust after just a one game carrer, then Grant Hill is no better.

Lattener can barely be called a success based on what he was projected to be.

Grant Hill has been injured for 2/3 of his career,
and a solid role player for the other 1/3.

Oden has played 1/2 of one game.

If you're ready to call Oden a bust, then Hill is one too.

Bobby Hurley and Jason Williams are busts as well, I'm just
using your definition of bust anyway.

i listed jay williams(jason williams) on my busts lists(darn motorcycle). you are right about hurley i forgot about him but that kid is lucky to even be walking after the car crash he was in. if oden has half the career of grant hill, consider it a successful gamble. right now in the twilight of hills career he is a role player with SUNS! he doesnt have to thee guy. might want to check out his stats from the orlando magic.
