I like a select group of teams to be the best:

Phillies, Red Sox, Rays, Yankees, Mets, White Sox.

The worst:

Pirates, Brewers, Nationals, Orioles, Royals.

Are you serious? David Ortiz battled injuries all last year and never really looked like himself. I think he is past his prime and his numbers won't ever be as good as they were a couple years ago. Especially with no manny hitting right behind him. How about Ryan Howard, carlos beltran, jose reyas, longoria??

the pirates will take their spot at the bottom

and at the top well the yanks because well frankly they scare me

they have the most stacked team i have ever seen

but i keep my phillies close to my heart and they are only losing Pat and resigned Moyer.

I can see the Phillies staying in the top 3 of the MLB

I think its possible that the Rays could drop down and only win 75-83 games this season. They have the talent, but they always did before their breakout year.

Also, Im still not sure that the Yankees will win 85-90. Ill wait until a month in to call them.

Also, I want to see what the losses of Abreu, Mussina, and Pettite do to them. I thought they had gotten rid of Giambi, which I still believe they have, but he is on their current roster. Their current lineup looks as follows:

P-Sabathia, Wang, Joba, Burnett, Hughes/Kennedy
C-Posada
1B-Teixeira
2B-Cano
SS-Jeter
3B-Rodriguez
LF-Damon
CF-Cabrera
RF-Nady

Jeter is a terrible shortstop. Damon and Melky? No. Posada? Old.

Im not sold on them yet.

Don't forget about the Rays!! They will be very good next year.
I don't know if the Reds will make the playoffs, but I think they will be in it come Sept.
Pitsburhg will be the worst team by far.

near the end of the season last year all those young players started clicking, wins started comming, mistakes happened less often. brandon phillips will be their best player and leader....yes, brandon phillips and leader sounds funny in the same sentance, even funnier than reds and playoffs lol

I think the Rays will be very good next year

They dropped the Devil it is just Rays now.

The worst team may very well be San Diego. The Padres have dumped payroll and every decent player they had. Having to play LA, Arizona and Colorado so many times will make it even tougher.
As for the best team thats tough to say. Its easy to pick the teams that spend all the money and pick up the overpriced free agents each year. I for one prefer the teams which build from within and have a nice mixture of youth and experience. That being said I'll go with the Anaheim Angels. Although they lost K-Rod they filled that hole and have a nice all around team with athletes at every position. I love the aggressive way they play. Even though I could'nt stand Mike Sciocia as a player he is a good manager. They were probably the best team all of last season and went bad at the wrong time. I expect them to be hungry this year and see their season through.

It's Pittsburgh...And the worst team very well could be the Reds....or maybe the Padres....Tavaras wont take you from the outhouse to the penthouse....This team is FAR from a one player fix...

i just cant see the reds comming in dead last, not with the talent they have....they will be very comparable to the rays of 2008

worst...i think the nationals,orioles,royals
best.....should be yankees but not sold on them they have the best lineup every year and still cant win a world series and i wouldnt be surprised if they didnt win it this year and i will laugh

and the reds should be better , they have three good pitchers bailey,volquez,and cueto also they have a decent batting lineup with phillips,votto and the other good player they brought up from the minors i forget his name
