http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/f ... g.combine/Gerald Cadogan/OT/Penn State: Scouts always considered Cadogan a solid athlete and he proved them correct today. Cadogan posted times of 5.03 and 5.07 in the 40 and looked very athletic on the field. His bench press total of 26 repetitions was a positive sign for those critical of his strength.

26 is that good? Thats pretty much what RBs put up. I remember last year Jake Long did what 42 or 47 and someone tied him for that.

Yeah 26 doesnt sound like a lot. I can do a set of 26 after a heavy bench workout and if Im not mistaken I thinks it Newark Catholic fan does sets of 15-20 with 225.

IMO i dont think if really proves how strong a guy is on how many times he can bench press 225. IMO i think its kinda more of a stamina, plus you can train yourself to be able to do 225 with alot of reps. But i wish the Portsmouth grad the best. I like to be able to say "Hey you see that guy I played against him way back in 2003"

Its both a strength and stamina thing. You gotta be strong enough to lift it, but also you gotta have the muscle stamina to keep up that strength. Cause as an O-Lineman you are bench pressing all game so you gotta be able to keep that strength throughout 4 quarters cause your going to have 300lb linemen crashing into you every play and if you dont have the stamina to keep your arms up for 60 mins you arent going to be very helpful.

Not sure what was going on, I saw some lists that had him as high as 70-80 overall and he is still out there.

Well it's somewhat disappointing but it doesn't mean he won't a future in the NFL.

I hope ur right, I watched the entire draft hoping he'd get picked. Is there some proof of this signing? Or is it rumor?

It might be on some sites. My source is as good as they come, but very little is out in writing regarding any players signing.
