I can see the league giving a high fine.--anyone know if he has been fined before for this type shot ? If so , could be a susenspion . Or he could just knife him if he wanted to injure him. Chad could have been paralyzed. MD

The sad thing is , he is a friend of chads. I heard chad has a black eye. It was was the worst thing he could have done. He maybe acting tough , but gave cinci 15 tds and a first. He could be the reason they lost that game.

Lewis has done things close to this on the field before. He still playing with the University of Miami attitude when he played there. The hit he should be suspended for at least 2 games. Lewis did this with intent and to send a message to anyone else who would think about coming across the middle. The Commissioner has come down hard on many things. Since the made this with priority to call this year he needs to come down hard. Lewis is not as young as he use to be so hopefully he will not use more cheap shots for him slowing down a little.

thats how you send a message. lewis may have to pay for it in the No Fun League but it was worth watching about 50 times on sportscenter. it couldnt have been that bad, chad was up in a split second bitching to the refs about it.

It was a bad hit even if Chad had caught the ball. The only reason he didn't get fined right away is that Chad didn't get hurt, but put that same hit on a guy again and you might end up with a coma, or broken neck. That is why the rules are there, to protect the players. You can't just fine and punish somebody only if the receipiant of the hit is hurt. That's like only charging someone with a serious crime if the victim dies...........OH wait, we already do that.

Yea no kiddin. The thing that really pisses me off is the fact that these whining, pampered athletes ar being paid RIDICULOUS amounts of money, knowing it is a rough contact sport, and when they go to do 'their job' they whine and get all pissy when theybtake a big hit, its part of the job description, And now they try to baby them?? Give me 5 million dollars a year and I will run across the middle of the field butt naked with Ray Lewis and the rest of the Raven D waiting for me with baseball bats
