Today is all on Carson,,,,time to be the leader and get it done in the passing game. Also, Chad needs to shut up today and let his talking be done on the field against Revis.

Carson failed, the running game did all it could. When your quarterback is overthrowing receivers everway possible you are going to lose.

A lot of contributors to the passing game failure. Jets defense had their defenders often in perfect position ahead of the receivers and where they were trying to go, and receiver injuries.

Palmer was absolutely awful.
Actaully, I was more disappointed in the defense than I was the offense. I knew they weren't going to score much. They should have scored 20 points and that should have been enough to be the Jets.
That franchise kicker really turned out to be clutch.

As for the Jets, I absolutely love their offensive identity. It reminds me of the glory days of my Steelers. Their O-line deserves the game ball.

This game was not Carson's fault. His numbers may have been down but who does he throw to? Coles drops to many balls and doesn't seem to run the routes right. Caldwell is playing hurt. Chad was covered very well most of the night. The tight ends are no shows. Who does Carson throw the ball to? I said before that Leonard should have been moved to WR because he can catch and then run with the ball. He maybe a little slower but will give all he has. Also the rookie Bernard Scott he has speed and did catch a few balls this year. He has been injured some but a few plays could of helped. Some of Carson's passes were not close but was that receiver open? Maybe he threw it away?

The receiving core for the Bengals is much like what the Eagles had for so many years except for Chad or like the Ravens receiving core. The Bengals need more to go with their running game. They needed to do something different in play calling but never did.

The field goal kicking was unable to come through which could have given them a chance. The defense played pretty good except for a few plays and the Jets took advantage of that.

The Jets line has 4 first round draft picks and an undrafted player who all plays together. They are also very good players. With some help from the TE's the talented RB's can run just about anywhere which then makes the passing game go. They are playing well with the absense of RB Washington.

Palmer stunk it up. I can see the thought on receivers missing routes,
but all of them? High and behind seemed to account for half of Palmer's
passes, but he lost lots of points on leadership in playoff situation.
Sanchez ate Palmer's lunch. Shayne Graham should have kicked in
his last game for Cincinnati. That was inexcusable and cost Cincinnati
a swing of thirteen points.

Not only do the receiver not run the routes right all the time but how many passes do they drop? They do not have a receiver that they can count on. To say he lost points on leadership he does not call the plays. Chad dropped the ball that there was a penalty. How many passes were dropped? How many long passes were thrown over 20 yards down field? That helps to losen up the defenses which just has not happened this year. The Jets were coming from all over the field which adds stress to make the plays. There is so much more than just blaming one player for this game.

I believe this game, the past two weeks have showed what Chris Henry meant to this ballclub. I think that if the Bengals would have had that deep threat the Jets would have had to calm all the blitzing they did. That has to be the goal of the offseason for the Bengals, get another deep threat.
