Jordan Ta'amu (Ole Miss) had a very good game (15-24, 207 yards 2 touchdowns) leading the Tampa Bay Bandits to a victory over Michigan Panthers and Shea Patterson (Michigan), who went 23-37, 334 yards,1 touchdown, and 1 interception. Juwan Washington (San Diego State) only had 48 yards rushing on 14 carries but did have two touchdowns for the winners. John Franklin III (Florida Atlantic) had 6 catches for 81 yards and 1 touchdown. Derrick Dillon (LSU) had 2 catches, 52 yards, and 1 touchdown also for the winners. For Michigan, Joe Walker (Delaware) threw a touchdown pass on his only throw of the game. The wide receiver was a quarterback in college. Patterson also led the Panthers in rushing with 46 yards on 8 carries. La'Michael Pettway (Iowa State) and Ryan O'Malley (Penn) had receiving touchdowns). Lance Lenoir Jr. (Western Illinois) had 86 yards rushing. La'Michael Pettway (Iowa State) added 80 yards on the ground.
Leading the defenses was Christian Sam (Arizona State) for Tampa Bay. He had 7 tackles, 3 pass deflections, and 1 pick. Greg Reaves (South Florida) added 7 tackles and 1 pass deflection. On the Michigan side, Tino Ellis (Maryland) led the way with 7 tackles.
Cole Murphy (Syracuse) the new kicker for Michigan went 2-2 on field goals including a 41-yarder.
