Commissioner Rob Manfred has rejected the latest attempt by Pete Rose for reinstatement. Thoughts?

I agree. He should be in... His actions occurred as a Manager... NOT a player. And it didnt interfere with his legitimate stats.

Heard about this today, I definitely agree, he should be in.

I'm not a big Rose fan. Loved the way he played but he was and is an obnoxious pr!ck. But he did play so it's kind of ingenious for them to continue this. Seems a little like piling on now

I thought he should have been put in until they found he bet on games as a player, which he emphatically denied over the years.

hey we all have a past, and he's way overpayed for his mistake. and the offense was not gang violence, rape, steroids, substance abuse, etc. and did a short stint in the pen. so he's way out there more than paid for his transgressions.
but he earned the hall of fame honors by his play. personally I think it is a travesty. and rose always has been my only favorite player ever. and I have quit watching baseball because of this.

whatever people think of my opinion, it's still my opinion.

Look, Rose is still the best hitter we will ever see in the game of baseball. Nobody will ever break that record. Always found ways to get on base, and was without question, a winner! Betting on the game did not effect him getting all those hits. But Manfred can do whatever he wants. But, many people don't realize, the commissioner of baseball denying Pete Rose being involved in baseball has nothing to do with him being in the hall of fame. The HOF has their own committee that selects this.

So are you saying they can put him in without the commish approval ? I didn't know that if its true.All the talk I have heard is he can't get in.I will say if they ever let these steroid jockeys in he should be in instantly.That is way worse than what Rose did.If Rose wouldn't have lied about it so much I wouldn't have a problem letting him in.

I believe he has a very good chance if the commissioner lets him back into baseball. But I don't think the two are directly connected, but I could be wrong.

Did they allow Paul (Green Bay) and Alex (Detroit) in the football Hall of fame? They gamble on football games. I know it is two different games....but

The reason that O.Js Hall of Fame has not been revoked is because he was "not found guilty" in the murder. Even though everyone except the jury thinks he was.

But was found guilty and serving time for armed robbery and kidnapping.
