My late-night minor league game pitted Stockton Ports at Modesto Nuts.
Stockton (1-1) even their record with the 4-2 win.
Myles Naylor, whose two brothers Josh and Bo both play for Cleveland, went 1-2 with 2 RBI. His hit was his first bomb of the young season. He also scored 2 runs. Nate Nankil (Cal State Fullerton) had 2 RBIs to go with 2 hits.
Corey Avant (Wingate, NC) threw 1.3 of the inning to pick up the win. He stands 1-0.
For the Nuts leadoff hitter, Jonny Farmelo had his first bomb of the season with 1 RBI.
Michael Arroyo blasted his first bomb of the season and he too had 1 RBI.
Starting pitcher Will Schomberg (Davidson) went four innings taking the loss (0-1). He gave up 2 earned runs, 4 hits,, walked 3, and struckout 7.
